Give your collection a much needed BNSF injection with the GP60M and GP60B courtesy of High Iron Simulations - Out right now!

Approximate release times: 1000 BST PlayStation & Xbox, 1600 BST Epic Games, 1600 BST Steam

    Trains Summary
The GP60s are stubborn survivors. By the 2010s, the M units had settled into Southern California working intermodal runs, manifest freights, and local duties around Los Angeles and San Diego with Kaiser Yard, west of San Bernardino on the old Pasadena Subdivision, becoming their stronghold.

The cabless GP60B has faced a slower road, with gradual retirements thinning the fleet in recent years. This add-on covers both the GP60M in BNSF's H2 and H4 schemes, the H4 featuring its "Dash 3" rebuilt control stand, and the GP60B in the classic, understated H1 livery.

    Train Sim World® 6: BNSF GP60M & GP60B is out now for Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Epic Games Store for $16.99 / £12.99 / €15.99.

Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: Cajon Pass and San Bernardino Line which are available as separate purchases.

    Additional Information:
During our testing processes with our team, we wanted to thank our beta testers and ambassadors who helped provided valuable feedback with their experience on our Early Access builds. One thing they noted to our teams, which we would like to help clarify for anyone using the GP60M, is the process to reset the alerter.

To correctly reset the alerter, you need to hold the reset button down longer than you might expect.

Please see our demonstration below on the above but also how to reset the locomotive should you miss pressing the alert button.

Executive Producer Matt and Community Manager Jan expertly showcased some of what the pack has to offer, you can catch-up on the stream below!

I've been watching the live video. The horn sounds really good in my opinion. One of the best airhorn sounds I've heard in game. There are several things that this pack should have included:
    -Santa Fe Warbonnet GP60M/GP60B
    -BNSF Patched GP60M/GP60B
-Spartan Cab GP60 in Santa Fe Blue/Yellow Freightbonnet, BNSF Patched, H1, and H4 Swoosh liveries
Hopefully we'll get these locos in a future DLC.

Are you a paid bot? The horn is a recycled recording from the C-40W.

It's the C-40 in BNSF colors. Don't waste your money

    It's 100% not. Confusing a 4 axle and a 6 axle is a rookie railfan mistake. =-)

It can be used more than once. There's only a small number of air horns in use across thousands of locomotives in North America.
    I agree. It sounds fine.
    We can agree to disagree.

    It's an... average TSW release.
    Not spectacular.
    Not terrible.
I'm sure the rivet counters will find their things to dispute.
For the casual player it's perfectly fine and about the normal price for a DLC of its type.
    Runs adequately by TSW standards.

It was literally confirmed in the files, that the simugraph for it are from the Dash 8.
    Screenshot_20260628_071422_Discord.jpg

So basically you are driving a Dash 8 with a GP60M body.

It's similar. However, the very thing you posted says it's not the "same" as I was replying to above.
It's been modified from that baseline.
But a 4,000hp diesel is pretty darn similar to a 3,800hp diesel.
The traction is similar to the C40-8W too. If you were choosing something the closest to modify...that would be the one to choose as it's within 10% of the target values.
A loco is not JUST its "simulgraph" either.

If you think it's too similar... that's fine.
    Then don't get it.
If you think the GP-38 is too similar to the SD-40... another personal preference.
However, it's NOT the same loco in game
Different body, different liveries, different artwork, inclusion of a B unit.... bunch of scenarios...and it has two cabs included NEITHER of which look at all like the C40-8W.
Again, if you don't like it you can just say you don't like GP 60s and leave it at that.
I like it. It's just different enough to make it a lot of fun to use.

yes, and to be quite honest, before noticing the "C40-8W" inscription in the overview menu, while riding it I noticed how the physics resembled that model

btw, none of "HIS creations" are 100% original: the ATSF SD40-2 is a reskin of the sherman hill (UP) model; the ATSF C40-8W is the SPG version with a few specific modifications and a different livery; and the GP60M is the SPG C40-8W with some changes and a new body
that said, the southern pacific GP35 will likely be based on the SPG GP38-2
