I find it funny that playing this TSW4 Core release route, in TSW6... still sees floating track and a giant missing water tile on the scenic part of the line near to Lochau-Hoerbranz. How is it not fixed in the 14 minutes between TSW4 and the release of TSW5 or even 6.

In my experience after initial release and a maximum of 1-2 patches dlcs never get touched again by DTG. I don't think players should waste their hopes for more.
    It's a shame.

I seriously don't get this joint sometimes.. Why couldn't they have continued the scenery to St Margrethen SG which then creates an end to end service for S3+S5! They do it time and time again where they create track but pull the route up short rather than finish it at the expense of further gameplay.... isn't that what they are about "gameplay"! cut the Mastery cr@p out its boring and focus more on finishing the DLCs!

I think it was intended to include St. Margrethen at some point, otherwise they wouldn't have laid the track system there in such detail.
But if I recall correctly, there has been some issue with licensing the SBB, so no more Swiss (or at least SBB) content can be done. Not 100% sure on that, but it could be the explanation why the route ends so abruptly, just shy of the Swiss border.

The BR 185.2 on this route cannot be driven from Cab 2. AFB doesn't work; far more critically, PZB Acknowledge does not work.

DTG claimed they fixed it, then claimed they had put in another ticket. Well, two years later it STILL isn't fixed

Would it be possible to fix the collectible „hat“ in Lindau on the cement packages? Can’t collect it since years…

I would love to get a new timetable. The ÖBB 1116 should be used properly on this route. DTG claimed to make use of it, but so far nothing happened.

I was a loyal backer of tsw spending 1000s of bucks to support the franchais.
Those blatant lies from dtg is a major reason my support is down to zero, on top im getting every dlc on heavy sale.

    Still remember the update log:
    - 1116 substition fixed on vorarlberg -- not true, the loco isnt anywhere to find except in the menu.
    - vectron substitution fixed on semmering -- not true, the loco isnt anywhere to find except in the menu.

1116 should also have proper LZB/AFB exit procedure but it is somehow not prototypical, which is weird cos 182 had it right... also, Taurus is like THE OBB loco, dominant between 1144 and Vectron eras, so it should be done properly... maybe one day we get RailJet...

Yep, same here. That's not the only case this happens, it's the same with the 628 on Niddertalbahn.

Why are platforms so long on this route when the trains are so short. Does it get long distance trains that are longer stop at them. And there just not in the game. Thanks

Yes there are many long distance train services, that aren't in the Game. Mainly from Vienna, but also from Germany, Switzerland or Italy.

Ok. There are freightservices, where somtimes switching is necessary. At Wolfurt there is a big freight yard. But there aren't specific shunting locos on this route in the game.

It should have door slam noises but in real life when the doors are locking the doors always give a quite “beep” to alert passngers that the doors are closing.

I like the route because of the scenic real world and a few route options. Although it is cut from St. Margrethen wich is bad.

The timetable though is really a let down. Not much RJ/EC/IC traffic going on and no proper regional services. No use of the OEBB 1116 at all although promised. Is there a remaster or timetable update planned?

Back in the day when the route was released, the 1116 didn't exist yet in game, so the only EC services are with MRCE 182 and German IC coaches. The 1116 should substitute on this route, but I never seen one.

If there is anything planned, only DTG knows and when there is nothing on the roadmap, no one knows. I don't know this route IRL and how many IC traines are driving on this line, but it's not like they can add that much on a new timetable. There are even older routes, lacking multiple types of services/trains, which are added with later DLC's, but those routes where never updated. So, I don't see an update coming anytime soon for this route. As it is already a TOD4 route, I don't see any reason for a remaster.

lexie Thank you for your contribution.

I don't really care when a route was released. It's a shame that many users settled with DTGs policy of forgotten routes/dlcs without updates and core features that never got implemented on them.

Rollingstock is there and should be used on this route, even though the route was released earlier.
This route, as long as others, is sold to this date. So should a user expect subpar quality when buying anything older than the newest? I hope DTG is aiming higher than this.

A remaster isn't likely to happen, I know. But when Dresden-Riesa gets multiple upgrades, this could too.
A new timetable wouldn't be too much to ask, as it's not that demanding.

Most of the time, routes are not touched after release other then for bug fixes. Most new timetables are part of a loco DLC or as part of a remaster.

Dresden - Riesa got a remaster (I believe no changes to the timetable) and Dresden - Leipzig is sold as part of TSW6 with a new timetable. Only a small number of routes have got a remaster, the rest of them are untouched. I'm afraid that's how it is, at first DTG even didn't want to make older routes available on newer games.

It is like you said, but that's not set in stone. At least it isn't how it's supposed to be. And I would like that people tell DTG exactly this.

Unfortunately there isn't much competition in this area but they should try a bit harder to get my money.

It's a very disappointing route. It would be one of my favourites but the timetable is so dull and immersion-breaking without the long-distance trains. It combines two of DTG's worst habits, a) one-train routes, and b) not back-layering routes. To be fair they are better at both of these things then they were a year ago.

I dream of a Railjet DLC with a remaster of this route and an updated timetable.

The route quality is very poor, especially the ohle. A lot pieces missing or placed incorrect. The route idea is nice, but very poorly build.

Also the scenery is not done that well, empty fields with no foliage, lot of the same old German buildings. There are some nice parts too, but the overall quality is nothing compared to Salzburg - Rosenheim for example.

I may have mentioned this before, but in addition to the missing 1116 (bleah), there's also the very specifically bad in this route issue that the OHLE goes through EVERYTHING crossing over the tracks, like bridges or the like.

If I recall correctly, at one of the stations, the overhead wires were missing from where they should have been.
