Just tried to start this run on Journey Mode. The run launches but you are not in the cab of the train but dropped trackside somewhere on the outskirts of Oldenburg. If you call up the schedule it shows On Foot despite the first instruction being to release the doors.
Perhaps the big reveal next week will be the subsidiary golf cart sim, which you can summon when the game does this to you! I know this had been an issue on some routes previously but had been fixed? Maybe something slipped in the updates we just had which is why I thought it worth mentioning.
It’s still an issue but there is a workaround. With fast travel and the labels on the map in TSW5 it’s a lot easier to find trains when you get spawned in random places. To complete the journey mode just let the AI complete the service for you. Yes it’s a waste of 20 mins and only gets a bronze medal but at least it gives you the green tick to proceed through the chapter. if you want the gold just take over the service and drive as normal. In the second 155 chapter freighting room the last service has the same problem. What causes this is the game cannot find the train to start you in as it trying to spawn you too early. DGS 52674 is the perfect example as you load in before the train even arrives at Bremen, hence it cannot spawn you in a train that doesn’t exist. Hope that helps
Just to make sure: you can let the journey event run itself, and get bronze. Or you can take control of the train, which cancels the journey event but allows you to get gold on the timetable route. So there's no way to get gold on the journey event, and therefore no way to complete the Bremen-Oldenburg journey to gold? EDIT: Never mind. I have no idea what happened. I played the timetable route, got gold, it showed up as gold under timetables but not on the journey. Then I played the journey, let it run itself, it finished with a bronze medal, then I went back into the journey menu, it showed the journey event as gold.
