It is an uncoded railway line. Just activate the VZ (train security) and press the VZ button regularly. It is a railway line without any other security. Absolutely simple to operate.
Help please in the 843 I really have to pull away from stations brake psi 5.0 but I apply power the engine rumbles but no piwer to move.
Sorry for all the questions on the 843 how do change the radio frequency I tried everything on the radio screen. Thanks
I think you press the 0 softkey and you enter the number... but I havent played the route in like a month or two, so dont remember exactly also found this (dagger#3513 comment in different thread about this route): For anyone else who don't know (yet) how to change the radio channels in 843: 1. Locate the upper screen (by default black on white). 2. Press 0. 2. Insert channel number. 3. Press Enter.
@dal#7945 Have you had a look in the manual? I’m not sure if it’s explained there, but I’m assuming it is. https://shared.fastly.steamstatic.c...b34284f824513fb/Liberec-Stara_Paka_Manual.pdf
I cant find anything it the manual unless I missed something i mean I been for 18 hrs so im tired lol. I might of missed it.
Should be an arrow to the right (hotkey 0 ?) i'll try to make a screenshot later as i can't see it in th manual either
Can we complete the scenario can you fix it yet. Also if you dont change the radio frequency does anything happen or you still complete the journey.
On PC this is possible. You need a god mod, or as some have written, just change the frequency before reaching the marker and it will count.
The scenario a little bit of shunting pt1 is it bugged i cant past last part where you release brakes and wait 2 mins. I released them waited 10 mins . And wouldn't progress.
If I remember correctly, this scenario has a bug with creating break reports. This is the very last stage. I completed it using the god mod. I completed the rest of the stages as usual and everything worked.
Is the 843 sluggish irl cause it takes quite a while to get up speed. Still a cool little train tho. Must admit dont go much this when it released but now I know how the trains work. I enjoying this route .
Path through the menu: ts2.dbg - Objectives & Scenarios - ts2.dbg.CompleteCurrentObjective Or enter the last command in the console https://sites.google.com/view/foobiansmoddingworld/commands/tsw#h.8ieiksva42nb And a website with commands for the God mod. Maybe someone didn't know this and it will be useful.
I already found that thread. I gave a brief description of the radio station on train 843. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/liberec-stara-paka-discussion.93292/page-8
So for us, console player, we can't still complet "can you fix it" and "a little bit of shunting pt1" scenarios, right ?
Hello guys in the 843 you can pull away from a station when cruise control is active correct. But I cant seem do that I have switch off to be able to move am i missing something. Thanks
If no error is reported, simply hold the power lever until the maximum set power is reached. Then release the power lever and the train should maintain the set speed. Warning, for vehicles 843 the maximum power is 80%, exceeding this may damage the traction motors.
now you are talking about the ARR mode or manual mode? cos I only drive in manual mode and I often go into 100% power
Use maximum power 80%. It is written on the control panel. And it is for a reason, engines are often contaminated with carbon dust. At full load there is a risk of electric current skipping on the rotor. This leads to burning of the armature on the rotor and its shutdown. This is a fact from the operation of these cars.
Regarding 843, I will say that when driving with cruise control, I set the power limit to 30-50%, increasing it to 80% only after 40 km/h.
Also was the curved rail grinding effect not playing on certain curves addressed? Not really clear from the notes other than an obscure reference to fishplates.
Would like to know that too before I waste a third hour on this scenario without being able to finish it. But there's only one way to find out I suppose and since there's no data here yet, I'll take the bullet for the team and try my luck. Will either update this post or respond in about an hour from now.
So I've tried the "a little bit of shunting part 1" or whatever it's named in english. Didn't get very far since it seems the brakes on all the cars are now fried. Was moving down the steep hill with 4 tankers coupled, 2,1 % downward grade and the accelerometer went into the red zone. Could at least move the whole consist until I coupled up to the Eaos cars. The loco can't put the power to the rails anymore and just slips and won't move again. Also now both brake pipes are simultaneously hooked up for some reason, some angle cocks didn't open, so had to uncouple and recouple some cars several times until the cocks were in the open position. Didn't do much in the end. It seems the animation for the brake rigging and brake shoes has gone from the cars, not sure if they ever were there in the first place. Also the tanks themselves look like MSTS now since apparently the polygon-smoothing is no longer a thing. Did capture the state of the train after coupling up to the 5 Eaos. As you can see, the brake pipe is at 5 bar, brake cylinder is at 0 bar, it's been two minutes since I've coupled up to those 5 Eaos and I should be accelerating at notch 3. If I go any higher, I get wheelslip at this point. All handbrakes are off btw and I also tried using the release valves on the cars.... after 2 minutes (again) of constant pulling, the hissing didn't stop one bit, which hardens my suspicion that the brakes are now cooked after yesterday's update. Again, there's the train, 4 empty tankers, 4 or 5 loaded Eaos at a 0,3 % grade in dry weather....that's nothing, a Köf could shunt that. And here's the tanker's unsmooth tank. My conclusion: in best believes in the developer, a beta version of the goods cars made their way into the update, QA mishap or something. However, I've been burnt too often by now to just swallow that. The whole DLC is broken now. It was an expensive one. It came out half a year ago and received it's first ever update just yesterday, next one might be short of christmas if the rhythm continues. I was looking forward to this DLC very much. As a result of the original bugs and the new ones, I've now spent even less time on it than on the Isle of Wight. There's a reason that for the first time I've let a steam sale completely pass me in TSW DLC. Got the Mafia trilogy instead. So to anyone interested in trying out the updated route: Don't! You could do so much better with your precious time on this earth.
I'm interested in this DLC, but it looks like I better can avoid it at the moment. Thanks for trying out and post the state of it on here. The Mafia trilogy is a good choise, Mafia 2 is one of my all time favorite games.
Today I had an interesting fault on railcar 843. Fault ZK12. ZK1 = Negative contactor for traction group No. 1 (first motor / bogie). Index 2 (or fault location) indicates a specific branch or state where the protection recorded an overcurrent. Probably the traction motor on bogie 1 failed. I had to drive to Stará Paka on one motor. I have to praise the developers for creating this expert railcar. This is what it looks like when faults start to accumulate.
So I gave the "A little bit of shunting part 1" another go today and this time all the angle cocks worked from the start. When they do work from the start, the scenario is now completeable, the brake sheet has been fixed. However since my run yesterday didn't work (see post above) and I certainly didn't imagine it as I wouldn't have made screenshots of nothing, I still advise to be cautious with it. Also brakes still don't have animations so there's no way to tell if they're really engaged or disengaged as I've encountered non-visible engaged brakes that can't be located and don't make themselves known on the instruments.
