Hello, I usually don't post here but I was noticing that the missing announcement issue was mostly being labeled as "PS5" I also noticed on PC some routes were missing announcements. I noticed them missing on some routes some of them I noticed them missing on are Manchester Airport, GWE Remaster, Morristown line. I'm sure that there are more routes that are now missing announcements but those were the main three that came to mind. Thanks
I thought it was just me not hearing any announcements on the Morristown Line, but I guess I'm not crazy after all. Edit : On the Morristown Line, I do get the announcements , but only when I drive the Multi-Level Commuter Cab Car (not others trains) and there were no announcements at the station.
I could be wrong but don't even recall an acknowledgement that these have been broken, when will we get the fix? DTG, please tell us?
Your complaint is so general that it’s difficult to reproduce what exactly is going wrong. You mention a lot of routes, but I’d also like to know which trains you drove. Some trains that appear as layers naturally don’t have announcements because those trains don’t support them. So please update your message with the correct and complete information.
There are no announcements on the Northern 323 on Manchester Airport Commuter and Glossop Hadfield and no station announcements at all on Manchester Airport Commuter route.
Sorry just got back on here I didn’t expect this to get any traction. However I use a PC and the routes I listed were on PC. Man Airport (class 323), GWE Remaster (class 165/6) which at one point had announcements added to them, Morristown line (arrow III). Those were some of the routes that I noticed I’m sure there are more but I started here.
We currently have an investigation into missing announcements that covers Manchester Airport, East Coastway, and Morristown. We're hoping to address most of these in the next major game update.
Chris while you're at it (PS5 user here) please map the Class 377/4 and 313 announcements using the same audio as on the 377/3 and 171. It's vastly superior, far more Southern-like. Also, please can we look at replacing or removing the female announcer voice on the platforms for ECW. It cannot even pronounce some stations correctly, sounds incredibly robotic. The male voice announcer is very good. As a side note, I am a professional male VO artist. I am more than happy to provide my voice and time for free, if it helps support the wider immersion of this game. Feel free to get in touch.
I did spend part of last night thinking I did leave this thread partially open ended unintentionally. There has been one announcement inaccuracy that would be nice to have fix as well. On the NEC Stamford route it would be nice that when at the first stop when a service starts and passengers are loading if the announcements do a station call out as it does in real life.
