Not sure if this has been raised already, but it seems there are very limited options to alter the weather in timetable mode. There appears to be no way of changing the cloud or precipitation levels, or even any preset weather patterns. The only available weather is full sunshine. Assuming this is a bug/oversight and will be rectified in a future patch? Also it would be great if the in-game schedule/objective list could be included (by pressing 'T' key) as with TSW. Otherwise, with the issues hopefully being fixed, this is a nice little game and very nostalgic for someone who was a Thomas fan as a child! Regards, Kevin
I watched a video by an ambassador and he had full TSW style weather settings but when I get my game on PS5 the weather settings are massively reduced. No cloud or rain settings in timetable or explore mode. All the pictures in the marketing have lovely clouds and I don’t have any. I’ve tried dynamic weather and nothing changes, just clear skies and no clouds. DTG Jamie where are my clouds?
On PC you can use Foob's GodMode mod from TrainSimCommunity to change the weather while you're actually playing. One thing I have noticed though is that you have to push the cloud slider well past 50% before you actually start seeing any clouds, which may be why everyone's getting the impression that the sky is always clear. Thanks for this. I downloaded and it works for Wonders of Sodor. However, I have noticed that when I am in the Cab driving, I can no longer push the left stick forward to zoom in (I play with a controller). It's as if there's a conflict between the mouse and my controller for some reason. If I click the right stick and push forward with the right to zoom on foot, it now changes my FOV instead of zooming in for a closer look. Has anyone else on controller noticed this after using the mod?
I figured out what's going on with Foobs mod. He has a feature called Zoomier Zoom that replaces the regular zoom feature in the game. I will attempt to disable this feature when I get home. If I can disable this, then Foob's mod is the perfect solution for the lack of weather changes we can make in Timetables/Explore mode.
Push forward left zooms in. Click right push left forward is fov… Though to be honest on consoles the fov is one step so basically your getting the same zoom as in cab, you can’t roll it like a mouse in gods mode on the pc I think your loosing that ability on the mouse with a controller as well I’ll double check
I found an option in the mod settings that allow you to turn off the 'Zoomier Zoom'. Once I disabled it, the controls went back to normal. Thanks
