Help With Routes

Hi guys I want to thin out my Germany collection i have all routes/locos. What routes could I keep that dont rely on other routes for passenger and freight services. Thanks.

 

It's actually very hard, because the German routes seem to layer more than the UK or US. You could probably ditch Rapid Transit. If your interest lies mainly in historic or TSG keep their routes plus Rhine Valley and maybe Ludwigbahn for the Krokodils, but ditch everything else.

 

I was thinking I would keep maintalbahn, stuttgart, ludwigsbahn, linke and the loco dlcs. And that should be enough give me plenty of services I would have thought.

 

I also really liked the Cologne–Aachen route, but I’m frustrated because I can no longer complete the BR 423 runs (in Timetable Mode) following the update. I wish they would get rid of the system that requires content from other packs; it’s confusing.

 

I hate the fact that each route relies so much on layering from routes I dont even want.

 

Think that’s pretty much what I’ve done. Certainly binned both Frankfurt routes for now, the Fulda one was just another boring A to B DB fester and the S-Bahn always CTD when trying to load a save game.

 

I left mainspessbarn on cause that gives you a lot more freight services.

 

If you have older German content, then the layers come from even older German content.

For example if you want layers on ska or hma, you need msb with a combination of rro or hrr or rsn.

Also remember certain locos need the home route to appear at all
