Lots of good sales on DLC at the moment on Steam due to the Train Fest sale. I was ambitiously hoping Preston to Crewe might've seen a sneaky 10% sale but alas, it'll have to stay on the wishlist for the time being. Anyway, what are you picking up, and what do you recommend for others with the bargain bin prices?
At the moment, nothing. Keeping my Steam credit in case the TSW7 route bundle turns out to be worthwhile and I just blew this months gaming budget on adding Fresno to Modesto to the Run 8 SoCal network.
Discounts seem very similar to the Summer Sale, so whatever I wanted I picked up back then. No interesting discounts in the current sale for me. I'll wait for better discounts for the few items I still want.
Wallet marked safe. This is the lull before the marketing machine goes into wow bundle etc!! Over drive. This year passengers will have different coloured eyebrows and even more lavatories will be accessible!!!! CHOOSE YOUR BUNDLE!!!
JT routes get discounts at a slow pace compared to many others. I wasn't expecting a discount yet. It will come, but for a significant one you will need to wait some more months.
The only route with a discount that's on my wishlist is Liberec, and it's not cheap enough. I usually wait until a route is $20 or less because that's what I think most of them are worth. I've made exceptions for supporting new countries to the series in the past, but the entertainment budget is tight at the moment. I might pick up Thames Valley, but that's already cheap enough without a sale so that has nothing to do with the thread I suppose.
AABS and Firefly seem to be following the same policy with sales as TSG. No discounts at all or very low ones after a long time. B-C has at least got 20% off this sale. Medway, 805 and Trent Valley still full price like in the summer sale. I just bought Thames Valley full price and the Grumdog HST thingy. Still unsure about taking the plunge with B-C.
B2C dropped from 20% to 30% off this sale, so I'm debating whether to pick it up along with the WMR/XC 170 pack or wait for it to go lower.
