Personally, I would say yes - Rivet's way of doing it was always a workaround, whereas now there's a DTG system 'built in' for devs to use.

On the subject of the 158, apologies if you've answered this elsewhere, but will you do a copy of the new Fife Circle timetable and put the 158 into it? Owners of the 158 shouldn't have to choose between a 158 timetable with fewer services, versus a better timetable but without the 158. A precedent was set with how the East Coastway timetables were duplicated so that those both with and without a particular DLC were able to get the best out of it.

    Adam,
I can't speak for all customers but surely as long as the announcements work properly does it matter which method you use?
Pity you or DTG didn't speak up sooner to let us know that a fix for the longstanding issue was being sought, it would have saved me a lot of typing here and in messages to support!

On the sprinter timetable for E2G, there are zero customers on any platforms.

    Hi Everyone,
(FYI this is the same post made in the "FCL Sprinter Timetable" thread)

Regarding the conversation about timetables for Fife Circle, I thought I would share some interesting insights when comparing the Default to the Sprinter version.

    Default timetable:
825 total services over the course of the day, including 86 AI Edinburgh trams.
Of the remaining 739 services 276 should be playable (but the menu only shows 268?). A ratio of 2.6 AI trains to every 1 playable.
10 DLCs are required to get the full experience, with 6 (7) types of traction to choose from. (The Class 40 doesn't appear for me?)
Loading more DLCs results in a higher probability of encountering the blurry texture issue.
The Voyager is available with 7 services, but the HST services are not.
The 170 is assigned to all applicable services across the route.

    Sprinter timetable:
859 total services over the course of the day, including 160 AI Edinburgh trams.
Of the remaining 699 services 243 should be playable (but the menu only shows 219?). A ratio of 2.9 AI services to every 1 playable.
7 DLCs are required to get the full experience with 7 types of traction to choose from.
The HST is available with 29 services, but the Voyager services are not. The Voyager was not available when the timetable was developed.
The 158 and 170 share applicable services across the route.

This is not intended as a 'mine is better than yours' contest, I'm presenting these details to show that both timetables appear to bring their own merits to the table. There is a lot of gameplay to enjoy on the Fife Circle route, but I recognise the sentiment that neither timetable appears to 'hit the spot' for players and that's interesting to try and understand why.

    Hi Everyone,

On a separate note, we would like to make a correction to the Patch Notes for the Fife Circle Sprinter Timetable update.
The notes incorrectly suggest the Express Freight Pack content involving the Class 385 drags and Seacow Ballast trains are player drivable. This is not the case, they are AI only. The services run to and from the Falkirk direction.
This is an error in the notes supplied by Skyhook Games.

Because most players want one timetable with everything in it. I am aware that it´s not always easy to coordinate between different third parties and it might cause blurry textures on consoles.

I'm now playing the 158 on Glasgow-Edinburgh first time since the update, and the passenger announcements have gotten worse. Before the update, they were totally abset. After the update, I hear bits and pieces on silly timings and missing certain parts. So it's way more noticable something's wrong. Anyone else getting a similar experience?

I'm taking the 158 for a spin on Fife Circle, and all on-board passenger announcements don't have any station names included.
"We'll soon arrive at. Don't forget to take your belongings with you when you leave the train."

I am running a 158 2-car + 170 3-car = 5-car consist in this Sprinter Timetable... like, are those two fully compatible? ... how can I properly check if both are doing their work? maybe by sound? but where on 170 is the spot where I should aim my 3 camera to hear? :) #OCDquestions

Well they are both compatible for multiple working in real life, should be the same in game.

just wondering, by listening it sounded like both worked fine, tho it struggled mightily on 1.0% inclines at around 60 mph :D ... so I was wondering if it was the 158 part or 170 part that did the struggling :D
