Pre-Grouping route for the British one. PG has been getting real traction in the model world over the last few years and ok a L&YR or LNWR route would be ideal for me but I would still be super interested in an LB&SCR, GWR, Highland Railway, it really doesn't matter if it's made with love and steam is ACTUALLY fixed.

They have not revealed much or released much for TWS6 to point i am becoming more convinced that TWS7 will not happen so far 2 Re-masters 1 Botched Job (BR Class 90) Development of there New IP Metro rivals Suspend.

No more news Official word from DTG about Trent Valley Main Line or Preston Crew both have been in the 0-3 months release window for a couple of months will they rollover into TWS7?.

DTG have gone very Quite after the BR Class 90

100% agree with this, just as an 1880’s era frontier Wild West American route or a 1920’s cosmopolitan route around Paris would be something completely different for the USA and Europe respectIvely. But I’m afraid DTG just lack the innovation and vision to take such a bold step to revitalise interest in the game.

Additional thoughts for the UK, a pre grouping Somerset and Dorset would be fascinating as would part of the Great Central main line in its heyday. We are shortly getting Kilsby Tunnel on the MKC to Crewe route so only fair the other long Northamptonshire tunnel - Catesby - gets its place of honour in the sim. Or I would settle for a nice secondary GWR line - Banbury to Cheltenham via Chipping Norton, perhaps.

I have no clue what we're getting, but I know what I'd like to see (which is unlikely to happen).

For the UK, please give me the West Highland Line in a historical setting. For Germany, I'd love to see Köln-Koblenz, don't care much in which time setting, although a historic setting would be awesome (I have a soft spot for older electric locomotives). For the US, it's about time we get something appropiate for the Santa Fe F7 to run on.

Or, it'd be nice for DTG to switch things up and instead of getting the usual three countries, we get something from three entirely different countries. But that's even more unlikely to happen.

For UK, Stourbridge Junction to Stourbridge Town would be great. Probably get blurry textures on my xbox though sadly

Great Examples of Routes for UK, are Crewe to Llandudno as it's 68 Miles. Exeter to Cardiff Central as it's 55 miles. (Bristol to Cardiff is a bit short). As personal route, East Lancashire & Calder Vale Route. As it's my home route. London St Pancreas to Bedford with 48 miles, Completing more of midland mainline. With east midlands class 222.

For the UK route I have a feeling it might be something out of London. King Cross to Peterborough would be cool or maybe even a revamp of the London Airport Commuter with a Blackfriars extension so we can run the Thameslink. US wise, I’d be truthfully happy with anything that’s not the NEC. I know licensing issues and all, but it would be nice to see something else. Chicago Metra, Florida Tri-Rail and Brightline, or personally (I know is a big one) but the Surfline in SoCal circa 2019 during the Amtrak and Metrolink transition from their old F59s to the new Siemens Chargers and EMD F125s. If it’s done right though it’s gotta be from LA to San Diego and include the Coaster. We have a lot of the same equipment that has been used on other US routes already so not too bad but again licensing issues and it’s a big route. As far as Germany goes, something out of Berlin would be interesting. A new region of the country we haven’t explored yet. We got a lot of the same stuff so switching it up would be cool.

On the topic of switching it up, I know it’s extremely unlikely but instead of a core German route, it would be interesting to see something in Austrian OBB or more Switzerland SBB stuff. Those are two beautiful countries with lots of scenery. Italian high speed would be really neat as well! Lots of potential there. As far as the US, a revamp of the NEC from New York to Trenton with the extension to Philadelphia. And this one is a long shot but given the new solo developer train sim game that just released, building the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka would be awesome!

For germany it could be the Filstalbahn, Stuttgart-Ulm with the Geislinger Steige. We already got Stuttgart Hbf in the latest German Route and I thought that someone from DTG said in a stream they wanted to do Stuttgart-Ulm but it was kinda out of scope for the moment.

Would actually be a great route though.

For UK maybe the "leaked" stuff (Class 333), even though I was more expecting another Part of the ECML.

Unless they sold it to DTG the Carlisle to Whitehaven aka Cumbrian Coast (Part) is a JT in house project and probably still many months away if not next year.o

I'm chewing on the "Berlin Route". I would love to see a S-Bahn Route. But looking at the history of DTG routes I don't see an option, that suites DTGs record. Ringbahn ... too long, S3, probably but also a bit too long (>30 stations) but this could be cut short, fx with a Ostkreuz Terminal. S8 or S85 could be an option because they avoid the center of Berlin, but is also very long (about 30 stations).
So they would need to cut the route short, and risking the complains about that.
If they do a RB/RE route from Berlin, they would have to include the S-Bahn rolling stock, otherwise the tracks may become dead and not very pleasing. So I don't think that would also be an option.
So for me Berlin is out of the picture.
I hope they release something completely from of the usual, maybe a network somewhere in Hannover some RBs for example. I also think, the south west is pretty much over represented at this moment. So I hope they change the region.

The difficulty is, DTG are walking a bit of a tightrope, with blurry textures being so prevalent in TSW6 routes, they can't really have that in the base routes. Despite that they'll need to be fairly ambitious for a big launch, so a lot will depend on how much progress they can make between now and then.

Hopefully something with Berlin, the easiest would be something including the Nord-Süd-Tunnel only but I would prefer something like the Stadtbahn because of the S-Bahn, maybe the route to Dessau, Berlin-Wittenberg(-Leipzig) would be a possibility too but I doubt they will do a route that a 3rd party for TSC.

I’d be happy to see anything Berlin but I would really love to see the DB 481 (preferably without the black doors) and the Hauptbahnhof in TSW. Please make it happen :love::love:.

If done well, at some point in the future, the Airedale/Wharfdale Lines could possibly one of the most scenic and interesting routes in TSW.
The old Trans-Pennine route didn't do justice to how beautiful that part of the country is.
That such a route (should we ever get it) would be an electric DLC and if it includes Bradford would be a superb network/route. One day.

I hope whatever the core route ends-up being, it gives us an excuse to have a Class 321 at some point in the future.

Sounds nice but its very unlikely that it will happen. The s-bahn lines in Berlin are located in dense areas and with the actual state of the game i will suspect more a rural trainline far away from dense city areas.

A Dutch route from Amsterdam to Arnhem via Utrecht. With a Virm, the Sprinter and the ICE included. And the Sprinter branch line to Rhenen via Veenendaal:)

Glasgow - Aberdeen is probably way too long, an extension of the FCL would practically need to go to Dundee rather than Perth for the HST, as HSTs don't do the Edinburgh - Perth services.
And similarly Edinburgh via Stirling would be pretty strange operationally. The only services direct between Edinburgh and Stirling are the LNERs (very limited), 5 Inverness services and the Dunblane services. I don't think that would be the best one.

Dundee - Aberdeen would be optimal for a ScotRail HST route. Aberdeen is a legitimate terminus, there's 2 trains per hour between the cities (+1 between Dundee and Arbroath and +1 between Montrose and Inverurie (ending at Aberdeen). If we're feeling adventurous, the line could have a short extension to Inverurie, offering the two-hourly servuce between there and Aberdeen as well as allowing the Montrose services to be completed. There would also be an hourly Aberdeen - Inverness as far as Inverurie.

The 220 would get 2tpd (to/from for Plymouth) and the 800 (if ever brought to the game) would have 4tpd.

Rolling stock wise basically nothing new is needed, either, apart from the HST and 800 if so inclined.

HST + 170 packaged with the route, 800 as the accompanying loco add-on (with layering to ECML) would be quite a decent route. It wouldn't have too many services but they'd be decent runs along the Northeast coast.

For the US back to Los Angeles for the Metrolink Oceanside Line.

With Amtrak Siemens Charger as the new loco since it shares the line all the way to Oceanside.

With stops at Fullerton, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine and Oceanside for Amtrak services.

It would be another standalone route though. Having just added Fresno - Modesto to my Run 8 SoCal network, I can now drive over 500 continuous miles from Modesto to Seligman, or down into the LA Basin. Hundreds of industry spurs to serve and two working hump yards. Yes there are gaps in R8 coverage like Antelope Valley and I still need to grab the UP Sacoto Fresno infill they recently released, but that’s one impressive railroad to operate.

I'd personally would love a Frankfurt S-bahn style route for Amsterdam. Hoofddorp to Hilversum(what ever happened to the TSC route anyway?) via both Amsterdam Centraal and Zuid with there also being the possibility to go from Sloterdijk to Bijlmer/Arena via Amstel. Doubt its very realistic as it would also automatically include 90% of Amsterdam's subway.

Just give me any new Dutch route at this point, even if it's just Zwolle - Leeuwarden with a VIRM.

Any route including Amsterdam would be nice. (Not the subway though, just the NS trains).
After Zwolle-Groningen was pretty well received, I wonder why there hasn't been a second Dutch route to follow up.

At this point, even a worse case scenario where DTG would do Zwolle-Leeuwarden without any new rolling stock, I'd probably still buy it.

i think it may be a bit sooner than one would think, if it was still being worked on whilst the TT issues for preston crewe were ironed out. (it was announced in december). i personally think the route side its much further up the line than what's been revealed. its just how far the 108 is and the TT. but the TT should be far less complex than WCMLpc. i wouldn't be surprised if it landed around november time.

The MSB add-on could be extended. The railway line could be underlain up to Würzburg. The locomotives for pushing the Spessart ramp, the heavy freight trains would be DBBR 151. A significant part of this service has already been built in the past. Of course, blurred textures on consoles should not be missing. I can't imagine a TSW game without blurred textures (sarcasm). But this DLC could convince me to buy the package.

The connection to the high speed line on MSB is about as far from the branch on Kassel-Würzburg as the width of this post.

For me a good change is something with Basel Bad Karlsruhe with an ICE4. Why this route? It's not a extremely high demand route in terms of extremely high dense areas with large city buildings. Why Basel Bad and not Basel SBB? Due to missing Swiss trains. Basel SBB is filled with DB trains and 1 SBB flirt.... Not quite realistic i should say. This route is the mainline for the ICE4. Nearly every train is running with ICE4 and when you take the timetable from a few years ago you can layer the 101 with IC coaches for the EC Zürich Hamburg.

    Basel Bad Karlsruhe:
    Travel Time 1hr 30min
Stops in Offenburg Freiburg and sometimes in Baden Baden. Lots of ICE but also Nacht Züge (NJ) and many different regional traffic

Not unless they have had some sort of breakthrough with MTA for access and permissions to do the NYC Subway!

Hudson Line, which has been requested billion times.
But without Brandon signaling will be messed up, like NYT.
And also other lines operated by NJT and MTA. So, there is more than "not much".

It could be very possible that DTG choose another country instead of the US especially now that Brandon is gone, picking something other than America seems like a more obvious choice due the missing person for this job

You could be on the something here. I personally wouldn't be at all bothered with an omission of a US route. I usually only play the European stuff (Including UK) and any American add-ons I own all came apart of a bundle. A.K.A I didn't exactly choose to own them. Aside from LIRR Commuter which I just remembered lol. I'd love another DUTCH route or an Irish route (Biased of course). I feel Irish Railways would attract those who only play UK as its the only country AFAIK that has railways remotely similar.

Australia could be an unlikely alternative, though I suspect if there was a new region coming we might have heard more rumours.

Probably the same as everyone, more of the ECML, The Class 225 as well, but I doubt it, probably the leak or something to do with the new license. For germany, something around Berlin with ICE 4 ou Neo. And for USA, probably something about Northeast Corridor, has pretty solid routes to work on. I’ve read some good guesses too. Let’s what the future brings us

As long as if they want to revisit Canada and figure out who and what will license in that country, I'm all for DTG NOT doing the US for the TSW7 launch route, even if it seems unlikely that will ever happen.

    Hasn’t the British one leaked?
Undoubtedly whatever marketing magic they do spin to captivate their audience, they will undoubtedly promise and promise and fail to deliver or fix anything. They’ll try and distract with a new feature or two that they’ll promise and fail to roll out to all previous DLC and it will fail to work with each update breaking the feature even more. Who doesn’t love countless door problems at each and every station and the same, boring TSR on every run with no reason why it’s there or MOM or PWay team pretending to look or fix a defective rail.

DTG Direct? More like DTG Drivel!

This brought a smile to my face while the wife was nagging me to get off the iPad and do some housework?

It’s so hard to positive with them, I’ll pop my positive pants on before heading to work for a loooong day flying
