it’s not a certainty, but i’m likely right in assuming that the take the ticket section of dovetail direct will remain this year. i anticipate it being bigger than ever given the amount of third parties and content that have arrived on the tsw scene in the last year. i wonder if any of the tickets will be route remasters? unless i'm mistaken, gwe was one of the tickets a couple of years ago, and there’s still demand for several routes to be remastered to 2026 standard. i suspect some of the tsw6 tickets will appear again, as is customary for routes that take a long time to develop, but as for remasters, should we expect anything new?

It would be nice to see that return again. I’d like to see Tees Valley remastered as one of the tickets and Rivet either doing an extension up to Dundee on the Fife Circle or another Scottish route as another ticket.

With the quality of the JT BR era routes, as well as the very active timetable, coupled with the success of the GWR remaster.... Tees Valley and NTP are crying out for remasters.

I think Leeds to Manchester would be my favourite northern remaster. It just doesn't do the scenery justice as it is and it needs a timetable with Pacers that Console users can play.

An obvious choice for me but Victoria to Brighton with a more realistic timetable/use of traction including the 700s south of Croydon and SWR branded AI trains around Clapham Junction.

I would really like to see a remaster of the Peninsula Corridor: San Francisco - San Jose - route almost forgotten in our days((

given that the caltrain licence has been revoked i think it’s unlikely that route is ever touched again

Having done St Austell to St Erth in real life for the first time this week, would definitely like to see a modern day West Cornwall Local remake/remaster given all the relevant stock (apart from all those 175s which are around now) is in the game already. Ideally add the Falmouth branch and the full freight line from Burngullow.

I also cast my vote for this middle-of-the-road approach.

Northern Trans-Pennine and/Tees Valley Line seem quite likely.. or even the Brighton Main Line, especially with most of the layers having been updated/remastered already..

BML remastered could explain the delay in the GWR Class 387, why release it now if you can wait and use a remastered GX 387 instead?

Would love to see a remaster of Victoria - Brighton. To the standard if not better than GWE.

I personally think future remasters will be of the standard of Köln-Aachen and East Coastway. A GWE type overhaul seems to be too time consuming and therefore expensive.

I know I'm probably alone on this, but I'd love to see Birmingham Cross City remastered with the Class 730. Maybe a sneaky extension to the depot, too?

I don't think It's in any poor condition to be remastered. It already has a brand new timetable. Nothing to be done really. All a 730.would need is a new timetablem

Koln - Aachen remaster is done way worse then East Coastway, scenery wise. If the quality of future remaster is on par with SKA, then I prefer to have no remasters.

BCC is already TOD4, so a remaster is very unlikely. In the case of BCC, a Loco DLC with the Class 730 and new timetable would be a better approach.

True. ECW is indeed better than SKA. I would still prefer the SKA treatment over no remaster at all though.

So, for a new TSW 7, I don’t want to see a remastered route like last year’s, which ended up looking just like the Dresden–Leipzig route.

And if there is one, it shouldn’t be another German route this year.

It completely ruined the route for me on PS5 and not that long after the new timetable had got me playing on it again. It’s mainly the areas with the bad foliage and the track snow texture (neither of which are compatible with the new lighting) but also the way the new lighting makes the reflections on the ICE 3M windscreen much worse. The new lighting just exacerbated the route’s issues.

It was one of my favorite routes, even with the old TOD. I loved to drive the S-bahn services, since the remaster I tried it a few times, but I don't play it all anymore. The only reason I have installed the route, is because the ICE layer on DRA.

The only thing it has achieved is made it a half and half route. Highlighting the weaknesses of the old Headlights, and foliage. If you're going to do.something, do it right. Don't waste resources on a "remaster" that actually turns people OFF a route. It's a true shame as the route is a good route.

Even though it won't happen since DTG doesnt do new US freight anymore, but

    Clinchfield...

    -Updated Visuals and Scenery
    -Fixed Bugs
-Alternative liveries for the SD40 and F7
    -More Boxcar skins
    -More period accurate rolling stock
-Add in new features thats now present in current TSW (Faults and such)
    -Extend route to St Paul?
-Bonus, add in either a GP38, GP7/9 or switcher to handle yard work and smaller coal tipples.

I'd favour the earlier routes, not just for route quality, but as they're more likely to have missing rolling stock that could now be layered in. The early German routes are prime examples of this. I quite like the Cross-city and East Coastway approach where a new rolling stock DLC provides a new timetable, with the new stock, and additional layers.

A few suggestions in my signature.

That remaster reminds me a lot of botched remasters of games like the Batman Arkham series.

    qoiq7l5fg9n41.jpg

Like no, new lighting on its own means jack, especially when you don't design around it, games are designed around that and can look awkward if you changed them. Ironically lot of these sort of "Half-step remasters" as I'll term them ironically get looked down upon a lot more overtime than the OG games do usually. Case and point, the best versions of Batman you can get today are generally said to be the PC version & Switch, as those are the two versions with the older lighting and assets. That version of the game's considered more coherent then the remaster on PS4 & Xbox One that's more of a mixed bag visually.

I do believe that Rapid Transit needs a remaster because the colours and aesthetic look a bit odd, and it seems that there's an odd "walk bug" in the V sections of tracks because when you walk on them, you suddenly stop moving

i wouldn’t mind a bcc remaster of sorts. the loco pack was good and is a welcome improvement but the lighting is completely washed out and there’s still no track shadows, announcements etc. there’s several routes that need dealing with first but i’d be happy for bcc to get some more love

What? You're saying you don't like the "enhanced" lighting that truly realised the artistic vision of the "Bright Knight" as I am fairly certain the character is often referred to, I'm not going to look that up.

The main issue with RT is and always will be, the near silent train that levitates along the rails. They can do anything and everything to the route, but without a major update the 1442 remains one of the worst trains to drive in TSW. Ranks joint bottom with the Rivet 385. :)
