PC New Route Teaser-answer Found!?

Hi everyone, we have a new riddle for which I believe is going to be the next TSW route. I have some pictures that seem to line up with the Canadian GMD-1! Please add to the hype!

Seems like "Baby Bullet" will not be the only newcomer, however black, white and red strikes again!

 

A Canadian route would definitely be a welcome addition. Hopefully this is a TSW teaser and not yet another TS release - looks quite realistic so fingers crossed!

It's definitely for TSW. Looks too good for TS.

 

The loco might not actually be Black & White, the colours could have been altered for the teaser.

You can rest easy, the riddle was posted in the TSW news section on Discord so I think TSW is confirmed.

 

Well not to continue to shake things up but CN has updated their Livery for their bigger cross country train engines, so this may be either a yard/local engine with the classic livery or it may be a nod to some "in the past" route-era....either way new or old as a Canadian I'm beyond pumped for this if it is in fact coming.

 

Alright, so the guesstimation is so far;
-Zebra Stripe from the Teaser GiF
-Matt's Comment indicates has a spaceship look with a blue color and a Yellow front (Betting it's a red herring)
-And the teaser is coming from the back of a GP9 Unit (as someone discovered it)
There is a lot of mixed hints for the next route indeed.

I hope they release an article tomorrow showcasing whatever this route might be!

 

What ever route it would be if it’s somewhere around Boston or Chicago I wouldn’t be upset.

 

Indeed. My guesstimation would be somewhere either around the Great Lakes area (ie. Michigan or Illinois) or definitely somewhere in Canada for sure. But we'll see soon enough.

 

CN does run into parts of the USA. I believe they also can be seen in New York.
Will Canada be what breaks TSW route release structure? I sure hope so. Will this be the only route set in a another country or will 2020 bring us all new countries and a new release structure?

It would be nice if we get something powerful like the SD70 or an Es44ac. Than something like the GMD-1 as an addition for shunting would be okay for me. Hopefully we get an variety of freight cars like in CSX HH. I bet we will see some wonderful mountainous Canadian landscape. And we can introduce the 4 th country in TSW.

 

What if the route isn’t in Canada what if it in New York,Illinois or Wisconsin.

 

It's CN and that is Canadian enough for me It could run into the US from Canada. We will have to wait and see when DTG actually posts the info on the route.

 

Is there any information about the railroad running in New York could you please send some information about Canadian northern freight routes.

Every TSW route is longer than 20 miles.

 

Interesting. Finally, there is a possibility to get a route outside of the Trinity.
Are Canadian rails used by passenger trains as well? Or do you think this is going to be a pure freight route?

There is passenger on CN lines VIA uses CN tracks, for CP the Rocky Mountaineer uses CP tracks from late April until the fall.

 

The hope is that this route could be the same length or longer than what CSX HH is.

 

The blue and yellow hint might refer to a VIA rail lock for passenger services...
I hope that they also provide the classic cylindrical hopper wagons for grain services.

Most routes are 30-40 miles.

 

Route length is relative parameter. Gameplay time is more relevant for most players, like me.
Someting between 45-90min is optimal value.
30 miles at 25mph = 72min
50 miles at 40mph = 75min

So maybe the CN zebra and something blue with a yellow front from VIA on the same route? Certainly wouldn't be the first time there were multiple TOC licences in one DLC.

I also want to mention that CN in the US hosts Amtrak trains. The City of New Orleans (Chicago - New Orleans) is almost exclusively run on CN rails, and from Carbondale to Chicago in Illinois, there's 4 Amtrak Illinois Service trains daily.

Caught this guy outside of my town back in 2018. He'd been put on the train in Mississippi, and I was a few hours south of Chicago. Never seen a Geep run so fast before, he was doing every bit of 65. Long-hood forward.

 

If we got superliners in this I'm sold but I doubt it'll have any passenger .. I wish a DLC would be equal in passenger and freight options.

 

I guess no update today? They only advertised a TS2020 DLC on facebook at 11am when they post things

Don't get your hopes too high; on the NEC and Peninsula Corridor teasers, they teased the passenger train. If they're posting a freight loco, it might not have any passenger.

 

Updates will come soon enough for lirr and northeast corridor we just have to wait
