Hi there, I wasn't following closely the last couple of months; any news regarding the beautiful and long awaited DB BR 420?
It's just vapourware. Don't expect it to ever release. On a side note, has anyone even heard from TSG on the forums?
I saw Maik comment a couple of weeks ago (think it was in response to Vern on something 420 related?) that the 420 was just in a queue of projects. Certainly not something I’d expect anytime soon.
Maik also works on projects for DTG, and the 420 is a side project, so it keeps getting pushed back. Besides, we all know what’s coming, so yes the fact that it’s listed among other projects isn’t surprising.
I suppose the 232 will return after release of the 420. Maik stated serveral times in the past months and years, that the 232 is also WIP.
All i can (and want to) say is: both trains exist and will be released at some point. There is no need to call it vaporware. It's known that i work 2nd party for DTG (for reasons) and currently on such a project that, as always, takes way more time than expected when i applied to it. That's how these things are. But does not mean that i will cancel the planned work on my own DLCs at all. At least not at the state they currently are.
