I believe they increased the AP for this route because people complained that the 805 timetable on Birmingham to Crewe gave reduced AP when compared to the standard one. Also, I found that ECML uses the same scoring system which gives 65 AP every 7-8 seconds at around 120mph or every quarter of a mile.
I haven't paid too much attention to other routes, mainly because AP doesn't bother me that much, but it seems like the sort of thing that could go in a spreadsheet if people are interested. I don't think standardising it across all the routes would be possible now since it would affect everyone's existing scores.

as I said, I chose the middle ground, aka went 110 and into coasting until 100 :) ... well, similar mistake had been made on Frankfurt Fulda, as far as I remember - no matter if you turned on the tilting stuff and GNT, the HUD still showed the higher speeds if you were driving ICE T, even tho it shouldnt

some routes that have this kind of stuff going on dont enforce certain stuff that it should, I guess to make it less punishing

Speaking of which while we are on the subject aren't the freight servics a bit sparse? ,this is not realistic for this route I'm sure

There is not a lot i thought this route would have a ton load of freight but was disappointed on how little there is.

It’s true—there’s practically no freight to speak of.

Any ideas on whether this route will get any patch updates or is this as good as it gets?

I have to say, the night lighting on this route is very very good!

No enhancements mods installed (at present) and just using Live Weather / Route Annotations.

Really is spectacular and continues to be one of my go-to routes at present. Just need to fix the irregular signalling sequences on the slow lines between Tamworth - Rugeley and onto Stafford.

That's right. Part of Birmingham-Crewe and the 805 pack had a points system that deviated from the standard. The standard (since TSW 4) being awarded points every quarter mile, the other one awarding points every half mile.

Good thing that the former system is implemented here, as it makes it easier to compare train and route scores to other routes and trains.

I'm still considering buying this. Do blurry textures still occur on this route and to what extent? Playing on PS5.

Why are some of the 805s running as 15 car units? Surely a max of two units should be running together?

I wanted to check out some in game scenery to compare to real life to try to understand what looks less realistic about some maps and some lighting conditions. So I tried a full run of Trent Valley. Didn't find answers to my questions about foliage but:

    On Steam/PC in 350-4.
    • The faults are still way too frequent
    • Sometimes the throttle dies off even though being set to max, but that could be related to the mod I use for a throttle quadrant
    • The train rocks like it is moving at the station sometimes
    • When going to fix frequent faults, my standing camera view became skewed
    • The passenger doors didn't always unlock (I use tab key to open)
Overall I like the map and the spacing of the stops. It looks good and is fun to play for my style.

Route scenery etc. good but has big problem (PC)
-Route has a lot of missing ohle
    - No passenger at station and sometimes also in TRAIN.
-Ohle not zig-zag (same issue from Birmingham-Crewe)

It's curious but I don't recall ever seeing zigzagging catenary in either TSW or any past TSC DLC... (maybe I just didn't pay attention to it) :o

AABS have been very silent on the (lack of) zig zagging catenary on the straight sections. I know it’s probably a major rebuild to put it right, but once noticed it just can’t be unseen.

I’ve got this route on PS5, and not seen one blur in dozens of hours of it.
    It’s fine

I just had my first run on this route yesterday , took the 390 from Milton Keynes all the way to Crewe stopping at Stafford! (On PC/ Steam ) Great run was held at a red near Nuneaton to give way to a freight train which passed me was interesting! Scenery very good , really enjoyed the long run! I hope AABS do more long routes even though they said they don’t want too! If they do a shorter route would like Milton Keynes to Birmingham New Street would be great!

Just one minor thing I noticed some stations don’t seem to have many passengers such as Rugby .

It is certainly true that there are very few passengers.

When is there going update for Trent valley line cause every time I start Up a service on the class 350 it keeps losing power every time even with all the Random events turned off including Train Faults Signal Delays Temporary speed limits I’m playing on PS5 it’s really annoying, specially when I don’t give you enough time between Rugeley Trent valley and Lichfield Trent valley it’s really annoying

Isn't this because of a neutral zone? If yes, then it's not a bug.

The power supply will cut off when passing through a dead section. How would you like to proceed?

You need to turn the top yellow knob to the left once (in case power was applied through the neutral section).

Just to add to this , having done a service which actually stops at Rugby , I did see quite a few passengers there. I think possibly the issue with not seeing passengers might be when you travel through a station without stopping , and you see no one on the platforms . Seems some stations in TSW only spawn passengers after some delay , where as other stations seem pre-populated with passengers when you drive past the station . Would be nice in this route to see some stations pre-populated with passengers when you drive past them , rather than driving through some empty stations .

I took a night drive in a 390 to Nuneaton , and have to say the night lighting is actually pretty good . Stations are illuminated very nicely!

There’s no sign to say there’s neutral sections especially between Crewe and Stafford I’m between Rugeley Trent valley and Lichfield Trent valley the train losers power and the brakes come on and there’s no sign to say there’s a neutral sections it’s been a bug ever since this Route came out they don’t give you enough time Between Rugeley Trent valley and Lichfield Trent valley

Yeah it cuts off for me too. No brakes but the power output goes to zero on its gauge and the train slowly stops. I have no idea what a "neutral section" is nor has anyone explained it in this thread, but there is no kind of signal or warning displayed that would indicate something.

upload_2026-8-16_20-19-57.png these are neutral zones and the signs but they mainly used in the preston to carlisle and preston to Crewe routes. They are on the new wcml routes but not explained.
