Hello, i'm falling on this project from Romania community, and the project speak all time of Train Simulator Classic. How it's possible, and it's real or fake? Dovetail have you authorized that project with same engine and maybe importation map from TSC? https://pcmp.poli-co.com/ A copy from Website: Poli&Co Multiplayer — the first real, synchronized multiplayer for RailWorks. Drive, dispatch, and witness the line come alive.
i've all time listen than DTG doesn't create a multiplayer on this game so how it's possible whitout consent from DTG the game is not in abandonware
You can have a game where you can drive multiple trains in the same scenario but I have no idea how you would do Multiplayer. The video is no use as I don't understand the language.
If they were going to do MP then it’s more likely to be as an offshoot from TSW than TSC, which they have sadly pretty much abandoned. If this is an official product and not someone stealing the code then I guess it might be announced in the forthcoming Dovetail Direct.
I'm not sure for a official product. How you can purpose a new gameplay style in multiplayer without consented from DTG. it's impossible, anyone can earn money on a game behind the original team developper. The tiers devloppers have passed and demand the consented from DTG for create and sale tiers content for TSC. On this multiplayers you use the same graphical engine, the content protect in .ap by DTG but without consent of DTG. And Focus Interactive also don't forget that it's the new Editor since 2 years.
The only way I can see how this possible is reverse engineering. Generally accepted if its for free, buy they seem to be charging for it. Maybe they have permission from DTG, who knows.
They did have "multiplayer" content in RSC quite some time ago (about 10 years now?) with the "Relay" scenarios - basically, you'd run a scenario until a certain point, it'd get saved, and you'd pass it along to someone on your friends list who could continue it. From what I can remember it was extremely hyped when it was introduced, then largely ignored, and then quitely dropped 2-3 releases later. If you use RW_Tools or LocoSwap, you can see that the scenarios are still in place in several routes.
There are a number of scenarios that are in parts but I have not seen any of the type you mentioned Can you give an example. The problem with such scenarios is everyone needs to own the same locos and stock
I remember this, tried it once but didnt really see the point with it. I feel with multiplayer it would be the best if you could be on the same crew and I feel TSW really missed an opportunity here. You could have shunters on the ground directing, coupling / uncoupling, applying handbrakes, pulling levers for switches, doing simulated brake test, etc. You could have a conductor on board cross calling signals, sharing driving duties etc. Of course we would never see that in TSC but a situation where one is shunting together a consist and another is bringing up the mainline loco would be interesting or a mainliner coming into terminal and the shunter waiting to break up the consist while the mainline loco heads off to trip services or something could be alright as well.
