It wouldn't seem so, given that they have to release one DLC after another as if there were no tomorrow...

i don’t mind that, the 442 does the job. are they long services, and do they have any underground stations?

I dont understand how this relates to my statement or what DTG releases you are talking about. None of the addons are made by DTG.

But dear, don't you know that DTG is the publisher and that's what matters?

It was to emphasize that there will be no addition of an ICE 4 (or some new ICE, as you were saying).
    Is that difficult to understand?

Knowing TSG they probably improved the 442 before using it themselves.

First of all never call me "dear" again. (Like why do i even have to say that in the first place???)

So DTG shouldnt publish the content of one 3rd party because another has released something 2 weeks ago?

I only think its difficult for you to understand what i even said there. I never asked for a new ICE to be included but wondered if they would be able to implement a layer for a possible new one announced at the Direct.

So im still asking, how does your comment relate to anything i said?

    We're talking about different things.
I'd say we stop here and make room for more constructive posts.
    Good night.

Where Is the Real Bahnland Bayern 442 and S-Bahn Nürnberg Version?
It would be annoying to reused the TSW 2 Talent 2 from Köln Aachen

Would this include the db br 102 as a new loco or use the 101 instead?

Why do you think a new ICE will be coming, one way or another?

And surely you know DTG – even if they unveil a new ICE with the Dovetail Direct, DTG doesn’t care which route the ones that have already been released will run on.

If anything, it’s TSG that would incorporate a slot for the new ICE on the Nuremberg–Ingolstadt route, as that route was built by TSG and not by DTG.

    What?

As it seems you clearly know that im talking about DTG with the new ICE, so now i would like to know what makes you think i dont know the next route is made by TSG? Especially as i praised the route to get to be a full on dlc after starting as a public editor project.

To repeat myself for the 4th time now, I HOPE "TSG" delayed the route so they can implement a potential new ICE made by "DTG" so "TSG" wont have to redo the timetable at some point.

If you somehow dont understand what im saying then just ignore it and move on.

In fact, we don't understand anything you're saying.
Didn't you say the news about a new ICE could happen during the "Direct"?
Well, then I wanted to warn you, and I hope it sinks in, that there won't be any news during the "Direct" because the route will be released before August 25th.

And then imagine if they add a new train for free.
If you want it, they'll make you pay for it.
Do you still believe in Santa Claus?

As the preview is next week, most likely the route will release in the week after the stream. It also means the route is finished, what make you think they will delay it for a potential new ICE? Delays usually only happen because of problems, not for adding another train. If we're lucky and a new ICE will be announced as part of a new route, we get a substitution or a new timetable will be added when TSG has to sell something new for this route.

At this point you dont want to understand what im saying and i'll just leave it like that. Didnt you want to quit this topic anyways?

You need to realize how old my original theory even was. The delay my idea was based on is about a forgotten/cancelled preview (semi)announced in the May roadmap which should clarify that i dont wish for another delay.
Now its obvious my original post is outdated which at first one user didnt understand and 2 others followed blindly.
I understand if the 4th rephrasing of mine earlier doesnt really sound like i already dropped this theory, but i did.
Any questions or is all understandable?

What you've said is very understandable, you've theorise that TSG delayed it to add in a timetable slot for a potential ICE DLC to.com ein the future (completley seperate) which requires a whole different testing phase.

wouldnt it techniclly be easy to layer the br402, br407,br412 on existing services on the route currently done by the br401, br403 and br411 if we ever got a new ice since most of these ice units run on the same services

I suppose you mean substitution instead of layering. In that case it's indeed easier, as you don't have to change the timetable, but just can add a substitution for one train. If I'm correct this can be hold back by the lenght of the trains, the train substituting for the original has to be the same lenght.

well that shouldnt be much of a issue since the br407 and br402 is only a few meter longer then the br403 but with the ice 4 it would be a 36 meter difference compared with the ice 1 so rlly only the ice 4 would prob face issues if they made the 12/13 car variant 7 car version wouldnt have much issue aswell

The longer ICEs could sub in for double length formations of the shorter ones, while the shorter ones could sub for each other. The idea would be to have a ~400m ICE pool and a ~200m one.

Currently ICE1s sub in for ICE2s quite a lot, because although they're longer, they're clearly the closest we have in TSW.

Bit of speculation here, but what if they have learned from the Tadami debacle and going forward will only release the article (with a release date) once sufficient testing has been done, and the stream can actually go ahead on a route that is of adequate quality (and thus can also be released).

    Edit: so probably thursday :)

After what happened with Tadami they're very likely playing it safe with this one. Wouldn't be surprised if the article doesn't come out until Thursday morning.

stumbled across this earlier; if you want to see the route in action, give it a watch. very choppy and the light baking isn’t there but the scenery and busyness of the route is all on show. icymi, the poster of the video (pilot21) has done most of the work for this route

That's a long stretch of max 300 kph. Gives a great idea of how the route will turn out. Thanks for sharing!

it looks much more interesting and varied than kassel wurzburg and hopefully the ICE 1,3 and T will all be options. plus the 101 and cab car add some nice variety, driving at 200kph with no afb isn’t something i’ve tried before

Just seen Pilot21 also has a video of S6 Friedberg-Frankfurt West, so perhaps we'll see that route later on:

yep, only having the reduced timetable (or ‘standard’ as dtg had the cheek to call it) completely undermines the layer selector and also our hard earned money

It's probably never going to happen. They already said it would crash right away when using the full timetable on any console. Apparently it is not technically feasible.

I don’t know what to think of this route. Normally I buy German routes without any doubt, but this one feels incomplete and not very exciting. I’m really letting the upcoming streams decide for me. It feels half‑finished and I’m missing some sense of perspective. Sure, 300 km/h under LZB is fun, but you practically have nothing to do. The RE1 Nürnberg–Ingolstadt is actually the most appealing part of the addon for me.

The problem is also that only a limited number of ICEs actually stop, so you can’t drive many of the services because most of them just run straight through. So yeah lots of AI, very few playable services.

In the Q&A, Alex also mentioned that a number of addons in TSW6 didn’t meet their sales expectations… Yeah, this could easily be one of them. I also think the price is way too high for what it actually offers.

We’ve seen multiple DLC’s now that address the ‘through’ runs by adding stops to them in-game. Considering the 300kmh section seems to be a significant feature they’ve highlighted I imagine it’ll be the same deal on this route.

But yeah for the general overview I agree with you, there just isn’t anything really there in this DLC. It’s all trains we’ve had before, in a similar backdrop with similar gameplay & it’ll no doubt have the same wealth of issues we’ve seen with most other TSW releases.

The content releasing is becoming stale because we see very little in the way of new traction & the technical quality of releases is in the toilet. It doesn’t help that every single DLC releasing lately needs £100+ in supporting content to make the route feel as it should.

DTG & the various third parties would do well to start adding actual variety back into content & releasing it in a more playable state. I’m just not spending £30 on content that adds the same rolling stock I’ve had several times before, whilst the quality is in the toilet.

Exactly and the idea that driving at 300 km/h is a goal in itself already shows that this is supposed to be the selling point, but as I said, I don’t need that. I find secondary lines much more enjoyable, with a beautiful and varied landscape, rather than a route full of trees and tunnels where you’re constantly looking at the same thing. Nürnberg - Ingolstadt isn’t exactly exciting in terms of scenery, and a large part of it is tunnel.

I found the Medway Valley Line a real example of quality, and that you actually have something to experience instead of 300 km/h with AFB and LZB and just waiting and sitting.

I'm certainly getting this. It offers a nice mix of high speed, intercity and S-Bahn services and it looks great.

I drove alongside it on the A9 Autobahn last week, and the parts of the track you could see looked impressive IRL.

I’ve been looking forward to this route since it was added to the roadmap. So pleased it’s coming next week as it’ll be a nice bridge before the inevitable dovetail direct announcements. Can’t wait to hit 300 kilometres per hour.

I appreciate what others have said regarding it not being anything new but I’d say there aren’t enough ICE routes to begin with so this is a nice addition. The more the merrier on that front for me

The driver for me is certainly the possibility to drive the expert 101 & cab car on a new route from the start. But also the fact we (finally) get an updated ICE3 with expert features (albeit only a few), which is more than what I would have been expecting!

Likewise, I am looking forward to the route itself. A TSG DLC usually delivers a solid product.

For me personally the fact we only get a re-used 442 is not a major issue. I believe the main focus of the route certainly is not the S-Bahn route but lies on long distance trains.

I asked in the Q&A thread if the SKA 442 was improved upon before this release, so maybe that is the case. Something like this has happened before, with FireFly improving the SEHS stock for use on Medway Valley.
