I wanted to report an issue I encountered while transferring my TSW DLC over to TSW6. Before, I was able to put DLCs onto my external hard drive to save space. However, I can no longer do this on TSW6 since it says if I transfer my content to my external hard drive, it will not be playable due to the needs for “faster storage”. I don’t see why this would be an issue now when my content has previously worked just fine on my external hard drive, so I would hope that this would be able to be fixed because I do not have enough storage on my Xbox to download all of my content.
Did you ever get a reply to this? I'd happily take slightly longer load times due to external storage being used over having to pick and choose what to have installed on my console.
What external drive are you using? An expansion drive that goes into the slot on the back of the console? Or a drive that plugs in via USB? Because Xbox Series games can only be launched from the former
Only Xbox One and Xbox 360 games can be played from a "nornal" usb-drive. Xbox Series games has to be installed on internal storage or expansion card. Xbox series games do need a good data throughput, otherwise you get asset streaming and loading issues. People will use a 5400 rpm disk, seeing issues with a game and start complaining at Microsoft / publisher / dev about the game is not working.
