Tadami Line Screenshots

This ain't coming now to at least September.

 

TSW7 Release without a doubt.
Some might say it was planned that way to pad out the TSW7 Launch.

 

The cynic in me is inclined to say September 2027!

I hope not I dont even want that route.

 

Well I am shocked I say... who could have guessed?

 

Let's be super positive and say it is being held until TSW7 because TSW7 will have so many long term performance issues fixed that the problems with this route will no longer exist.

 

if I’m going to be optimistic, I’d rather believe they’ll release it for TSW6 before TSW7
because honestly, having to wait a hell of a long time for something that’s already been pending for about three years really sucks...

 

For years, I’ve been looking forward to the first Japanese route in TSW; the screenshots that were shown raised hopes for a beautifully designed route.

Then the leaked video and the postponed release:

Now, my interest has dropped to almost zero.

Strange visuals, flat graphics (reminiscent of the MSTS era ), low-quality textures (e.g. the water), unconvincing vegetation and a lack of trackside details, poor sound design, and vehicles that look like plastic (inside and outside). That might have been good (or good enough) years ago, but today after so many high-quality DLC (JT, TSG, Firefly, Vector, DTG has also released a few good, high-quality DLCs) releases, it all looks rather subpar and certainly not something I’d pay full price for.

Really disappointing at this point in time.

 

Unfortunately the route was started during TSW3, so much of what you see was more than likely as good as anything else at that time. Over the past 18months things have really leaped forwards with the likes of JT, AABS and Firefly releases. It looks like some of Tadami might still be playing catchup.

 

Finally a release date September 29th

 

I've been looking forward to this, but does anyone know whether DLC releases like this (which have been in development for some time) will only launch for TSW7?

I'm on GeForce Now, so won't have access to the new version as things stand, but I'd be disappointed to not be able to play this or the Mildmay extension, which were both coming to TSW6.
