    Hi,
I'm trying to do the Knapford shunting challenge and all 3 times I've tried it I've had a derailment failure when trying to couple. My speed isn't excessive (the last failure was at 2mph) and I manage to get pretty far in the challenge before it happens but when it does the car I'm trying to couple to goes flying. I've been playing the other TSW games for years so I'm not a novice at this. It's very frustrating because there are no saves or checkpoints so I always have to start from scratch when it happens. Any idea how to fix? Thanks.

I managed to complete it and the other shunting challenges. I think the issue was caused because I was decoupling the caboose from behind car 6 in the beginning before building my consist and then when I was coupling up other cars to car 6 if it made any contact at all with the uncoupled caboose it would send the cars flying. This time I waited until after the full consist was built before decoupling the caboose.

Was the break van close to the buffers? Could be that each time you were coupling to the train, it was getting push back slightly until it ran out of room. Or the physics were just being weird. Equally possible...

It is not all that close to the buffers so I don't think that is it. I think it is treating the uncoupled brake van as an unmovable object so when it makes contact the other cars go flying.
