What do you think of coal and water being something you have to make use of, in order to complete a timetable run? I feel the coal on the engines are just there for show. It would make the game feel more realistic if coal and water was needed. I'm no train expert but I find it hard to believe that the engines can go from Knapford to Vicarstown without needing to stop for water at stations. Do you think the game is fine the way it is?

I think that would hard to manage. Where will the realism stop. There are passengers on platforms waiting for trains that won't stop at the station. There are stations where no train stops to pick up passengers. There are yards without movement, without trucks or wagons.

It's not bad that you think that way, but I guess that realism will not happen.

If we could have some more lines and engines that would be good for everyone. And we don't have that covered yet...

That level of realism isn’t in TSW and WOS has significantly dumbed down controls

The most I expect we'll get of it is only in maybe a few new story scenarios, like just driving to and stopping at the spot.

I think it would be a fun challenge, having to keep an eye on the guages and re-watering during a long journey.

Much like having to keep an eye on the fuel in a racing game or ammo in an FPS.

I think the more realsim the better, but nothing that ultimately stops the fun, these are after all trains that can talk!

Yeah and it would make Knapford to Vicarstown more believable. Without it you're driving a modern subway train with an old Locomotive skin But I'm just someone that wants to make use of everything that can interact with a steam train such as turntables, coal, water, etc. I also want more to do while I'm waiting at a station in timetable mode. But I can see why that feature is not in this game. Would have been great though.

If they give this to TTTE without making the same changes to steam traction in TSW. there would be a riot...

Short answer is, yes they should - across both games. Sadly DTG seem to lack the technical or programming skills to implement it.
