Hello guys, I already asked in the TSC Discord but sadly no one had an idea to guide me into a helpful direction. So i will try it here again. I didn’t play the game for a couple of months and after being back to it now for a few days a strange behavior is happening now. I have the PC Xbox store version just because I initially started on my Xbox back with TSW3 and later I got a PC again and to avoid buying everything again I went the XBox App Route. It always worked absolutely flawless for me even with a lot of mods installed. But I think one of the latest game updates broke anything for me. What is exactly going on : When I first load into the game everything is just fine on every route I’ve tested so far. I usually have the fps capped to 60 but it goes even higher when I set it. But when I finish a route or go back to the main menu manually (sometimes it happens first time and sometimes I can finish a second run) right before the loading screen is finished and the menu appears the fps went all red and drops below 10fps and latency goes massively up. Sometimes it’s almost freezed with 0,02fps and a latency with far about 2500ms. Ending the game and loading it up again resets everything and the same procedure begins again. Since the game took ages to load with all the DLC its not a fun solution to reload it after every run. I tested A LOT. Nothing seems to help. Even with zero mods installed the game is acting like this. I’m trying now to reinstall the whole game which isn’t fun either cause it took ages to load all the content again. And possibly I soon have it to do again So my question is has anyone experienced a similar problem and found a solution or are there known mods that don’t work anymore I should be aware of. (I already filtered out some outdated ones, but since the problem is without mods also present I don’t think it’s a specific mod) PC specs are Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB and 32GB Ram Really hope someone has an idea. It’s really frustrating especially because it always runs really well on my system.
Check Windows Updates are up to date. Check you have the lastest GPU Driver, If a new one was released recently consider rolling back to an earlier one. Health Check your hard drive, could be on its way out.
I have the exact same problem and I'm also on Xbox for PC. I haven't been able to solve it. Also open to ideas! i7-12700F, RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB ram.
Thanks for your reply. Windows is all up to date, NVIDIA drivers as well, during the process I updated it also no change between the versions. I can hardly imagine that the SSD is the problem. It’s just a year old and was a high quality one. Everything else just runs perfect from this drive.
It’s incredibly frustrating isn’t it? It can’t be the solution to switch over to steam and buy everything again. We talk about a really huge amount of money I’ve spent into the game over the years. Especially because Xbox sales are the rarest.
Try reducing the number of installed DLCs; pick 5–7 routes you play frequently. I use Steam myself, but I've noticed that the more DLCs you have installed, the worse the game runs.
