As a Greek I would like to see a greek route (or any other country except from the usual trio Germany, England and USA) in TSW. I know that the Athens to Thessaloniki route is not going to be added to the game because its length is 507 kilometres but i would like to see a smaller route like the Thessaloniki to Florina route. This route is 219.1 kilometers but as many other routes in the game i do not think that dovetail is going to include the whole route, so, a good station to cut the route is at the Edessa station which is a town and not in a random station of a village.This route has beautiful scenery in real life and is an one track route except from some stations and a section in Thessaloniki that has more tracks. Hellenic train ( or with the old name OSE) operates this route with the class 621 which is a two-car DMU with a MAN engine. These trains were constructed between 2004 and 2008 by the Greek Shipyards and are very similar to the class 620 an older DMU constructed in the 1990s which also had MAN engines but they were withdrawn by 2017. On the historical side the line (Thessaloniki to Florina) has 25 stations and opened in 1894 under the name "Société du Chemin de Fer ottoman Salonique-Monastir", when the area was part of the Ottoman Empire. The section between the international border and Bitola is not used anymore, and as of 2025 passenger services are restricted to the section between Thessaloniki and Florina. ŽRSM Transport also operates a daily service from Žabeni to Bitola and onwards to Skopje. The easternmost section of the line, Platy–Thessaloniki, is part of the important connection towards Athens and Northern Greece. Now for the DMUS, the class 621 also known as MAN 2000 is a two-car DMU as I said earlier, with a capacity of 140 passengers and an engine of 915 kW and a top speed of 150 km/h. OSE (Organismos Sidirodromon Ellados or Greek Railway Organisation in English) ordered 15 pieces with the numbering of 621 101 in one end and 621 201 on the other end. (the other DMUS were numbered 621 102/202, 621 103/203, 621 104/204, 621 105/205, 621 106/206, 621 107/207, 621 108/208, 621 109/209, 621 110/210, 621 111/211, 621 112/212, 621 114/214 and 621 115/214). As for the class 620 the two-car 24 dmus were constructed by MAN and Greek Shipyards back at 1989 and 1990. They were numbered from 620-001 to 620-025. They had an engine with 820 horsepower, they weighed 57 tons and had the capacity of 144 passengers. The white and blue coloured DMU is the class 621 while the red and blue is the older 620. There are a lot of other lines in Greece that i would like to see but this is my favourite. Thank you.

Any Greek route really needs to be set during the classic era when most trains were hauled by Alco derived locos. Any route really needs to include the famous Bralos section. Or maybe the Pelopponese narrow gauge before its demise. Sadly though I don’t see a Greek route having the broad appeal that would make it a worthwhile money spinner for a DLC. Best chance would be, similar to the Czech route, a competent local third party developing something. But given we have never seen a Greek payware route for any of the pre-existing sims, the chances seem slim.
As you OldVern I would also like to see a route in the game set somewhere in the 1980s when OSE used locomotives like Alco, General electric, Alsthom or dmus like Ferrostal, Essligen and fiat but this is not going to happen because there are a few locomotives like these that operate this day. As a result it might be difficult for DTG or a third party developer to get the sounds, the physics and how they work in general because the majority of these locomotives and dmus are abandoned. They could also create a more modern route in the future with trains like the Coradia stream and the Hitachi HTR 412 which are going to enter service in 2027. But as you said I also do not think that this is gonna happen because I think that the majority of people prefer a more "open" route with high speed limits and small services than a route with low speed limits and bigger hourly services like the Niddertalbahn. Believe me, you are not gonna see any greek route any time soon (Maybe None / 0% chance after the Tempi Valley Train Crash in 2023). Your suggestions are good especially the Athens-Tithorea one. If there is a chance for a route like this to be featured in the game I would like it to have good scenery like the Niddlertalbahn because as you know our country's scenery is beautiful especially in rural routes like the Milies railway in Volos. I say this because the Arosa line in real life is beautiful when it comes to scenery. But in the game the scenery is awful and the mountains feel lifeless with small amounts of trees.
