Just in case anyone missed the announcement, as I know most people don’t check the announcement / updates section of the forum often, the China Railways DF11G published by Just Trains on the Steam store and developed by “The Fifth Rollingstock Factory” and “Monologue Group” according to the manual will be discontinued from sale in roughly 2-3 days at 1800 (6pm) BST Thursday. A proper reason hasn’t been stated for the discontinuation of this DLC but it is being done “at the request of the developer” according to DTG. Unfortunately the DLC hasn’t been given a discount but if you either like Chinese or “niche” rollingstock and / or fancy collecting DLC that has been or will be discontinued now’s your last few days to get it! Especially because it’s already been discontinued from the third party Just Trains website store!
Not sure, haven't given it a spin yet and I don't know when I'll be able to. I did find this no commentary gameplay by "TSH Gaming Channel" utilising the loco though, so you can be your own judge of the sounds if you're thinking of buying it before it goes.
Thanks for that. Think I will pass particularly as they haven’t dropped the full £16.99 to something reflecting an end of life giveaway. Less than that will get me the new SimRail route extension when it releases on Thursday with change to spare towards the next ETS2 DLC, either Iceland or the Coaches add on (though release dates for those still shrouded in the SCS mists).
Indeed, the issue is price. In euros, it is pricier than the two routes it has scenarios for (each, not combined). It's probably a licensing, refund or quality-reputation issue - digital products can just print money, in however small increments. There are people who enjoy any specific content, not a reason to delete. Black Forest Journeys and Bristol-Exeter does have great potential from Camera 2 (and 8), despite reviews.
I will give it a miss - OK if you understand Chinese where the voice is telling you something and you have no idea what ! Bad enough when a German or Czech loco starts telling you something
