It's awful around Warrington, but after the last update the rest of the route is much better. Still not as polished as their other routes, but far from unplayable.

For me on PS5, Birmingham to Crewe and Mildmay line are far worse in terms of blurriness and performance

Happy to help and glad it’s hopefully helped find an issue that can hopefully be resolved.

Not from my experience on Series X. I've done 20 odd routes between Crewe and Preston now and only really experienced a couple of instances of blurry textures outside Crewe, and some barely noticeable frame "jitters" in the same kind of area.

Granted, I'm not a huge user of the game. I've maybe got 10 UK routes max on my console so don't know if that's maybe helping performance my end but, for me at least, the route plays great and would definitely say it's one of my favourites now.

Talk about hyperbole FFS.... Mini strokes and seizures? Have a word with yourself !

The way - for better or worse - in the digital world seems to be that games and addons are released in less than perfect states these days but soon enough patches come along to fix them. A good example I've used before was Planet Coaster. On release it was a buggy mess that paled in comparison to its prequel. Since release multiple patches have been released which have gradually improved it to the extent that it's probably comfortably now my favourite game.

Same things happening with this route. I avoided it on release following feedback, but took a punt after seeing patches were coming for it and - very minor niggles aside - couldn't be happier. So for those patches I'm more than happy to thank the developers for the improvements they've made and are continuing to make.

You just keep "demanding" if that's what floats your boat though.

I'm also having problems with this route, such as constant stuttering, especially near densely populated areas, but I can't simply say I "demand" a fix. I believe there are more polite ways to ask for things to be fixed.

People also forget that third-party developers work with what DTG provides them, so the stuttering problem has been happening for quite some time; therefore, criticism—which should be constructive, of course—should be directed at them.

There’s another issue, too. I see people criticizing how routes are being designed lately.
For example, Route X has so many layers that it might not be able to handle the load; then come the complaints: "Oh, but it’s not working the way it should—it’s not worth the price."
Another scenario is when the layers are missing and features are lacking, leading to complaints like, "But why isn't it there, considering I'm paying for it?"

The game has clearly reached a limit where the developers have to bend over backwards to deliver a solid product, but given the current tools and the state of the game, it just isn't possible...

However, many people forget that third-party developers do not have to build tracks using the TSW Editor, which is available to the public.
And DTG has other options and tools that third-party developers can use – things that public track builders can only dream of.
So one can certainly expect a fair bit from third-party developers.

Similar thing really, it being walkable was actually quite a late addition as all it required was collision walls.

Is anything being done about the game crashing when approaching Crewe and also when starting at Crewe? Series X.

We're looking into it don't worry as we already released a couple of patches for the route and associated addons.

It's a complex issue as you've got some now on Xbox Series X who have no crashing whatsoever now and some who still crash pretty frequently.

Crashed on loading yesterday. Out of memory warning when trying to start railtour service with a 47/4 from Crewe to Preston non-stop. Full timetable. Tried again and it worked and even managed to complete the service which surprised me. Lots of stutters. Didn't notice any blurries though.

When driving the 08 with a rake of HAA and 2 class 20s on the rear. Why don't the brakes fully release they always get stuck at 3.5. I cant release them more.

Not sure on that one, maybe tied up with the brake issue still waiting to be fixed when hauling with the Class 20’s or 47/3?

That's a usual tactic with DTG though, hang on to updates for months at a time, and then release a huge update at once that inevitably brakes something else.

I couldn’t agree with you more.
But this tactic from DTG is really rubbish, because we’re the ones buying the DLCs with our own money.
And DTG makes money from every DLC too, so you’d think they’d release updates for the DLCs as quickly as possible.
They’re quick to take our money, after all, so they should be quick to release the updates as well.

Anyone done 6m24 with the 87. Right at the once you uncouple you derail for no reason. Also anyone else noticed that is is quite a few derailments on this route for no reason. EDIT tried it again and done it without any problems.

I see quality is still an Issue.

But Hey Guess I can’t talk about that, just leave feedback for nothing to happen.
Ie Ref to Blurring, (Post Removed). And constant Questions about product quality/development and 3rd communication.

I as many others have pointed these issues as soon as the Preston Carlisle Route came out.
So why still the same and why leave repeat feedback if we don’t get paid to test games.

    Nor anything to change.

    Remember folks we are customers.
So as a customer whom wished to discuss my experience of this problem and DLC (Milton Keynes - Crewe) crashing directly with DTG has again failed to respond responsibly.
Non Resolved, Back to wasting time on issues months, even a year or two old in some cases in the feedback section.
(Products crashing like London Euston - Milton Keynes, and Layers/Blurring, Preston Carlisle).

And the same thing again with Milton Keynes - Crewe.

DTG the Product keeps crashing, ruining gaming experience.
Not happy having to leave feedback, or beg while watching every word I say.

    Anyway.
Tip to clear blurring, pause game, it can allow the system to catch up.
Or upon starting the route leave in start screen for a few seconds or a minute.
Then pause and the restart route (Normal set up/driving).
I found it can help with layers and performance, PLEASE NOTE; (Non aggressive) not so much on this DLC, but does help on the Preston - Carlisle.

    ✌.

Xbox Series X. I have most, if not all UK DLC installed.

Opened this route on the reduced timetable. All areas fine until I try to get to Crewe. Either fast travel or start there results in immediate Out Of Video Memory and crash to dashboard.

Same here. Xbox series x with pretty much all DLCs. When will it ever be possible to run from Crewe to Preston without a CTD out of memory or a feeling of imminent crash anywhere near Crewe?!

Well until today my Xbox Series X had handled this route like a gem (bar some frame rate dropping around Crewe). However, this afternoon jumped in to do the 14:15 London Euston to Blackpool North and as soon as it loaded I got the Out of Memory error and crash back to desktop.

I only have a maximum of 10 UK routes on my console as well. Quite disappointing really, although it did work the second time I tried it.

It's interesting to hear that the more DLC's installed the more likely it is to crash and that maybe explains more why some have issues and some have had none.

Not played for a while. Thought I'd give it another go. Took a Blackpool to Euston in an 86/4. Got as far as Warrington, opened the doors, used the camera and the game crashed. XBX. Come on JT, this is unplayable. Sort it out.

Conversely since the last updates I’ve had no crashes whatsoever (or blurries) and I’ve got every UK route apart from Thames Valley installed on Series X.

Don't worry we're looking into it, issue is is with some they have no crashing whatsoever and others seem to still have it all the time and so it's making it more complex to resolve but don't worry, we'll get to the bottom of it.

Hi why does everything derail when going into arpley neck shunt. Everything single train class just derails about 50 yds in.

Your bridge reverb still seems to be AWOL. I’m doing the first leg proper of the 1Z47 Railtour south from Preston to Crewe and haven’t heard any and now south of Warrington.

Also point of detail, very unlikely this would have been formed of Mark 2 coffins. Would have been one of the Mark One relief or charter sets of which there were still plenty kicking around in 1986. The organiser would undoubtedly have requested a 47/3 for the Duff legs, or 47/0 with steam heat boiler if train heating was required. But otherwise it’s a nice set of runs to have on the route.

I only hear bridge reverb for about 2 or 3 bridges south of Preston, that's it! Don't hear anymore anywhere else on the route
