Where is this timing from? Are we talking about the same thing? Are we discussing the Dovetail Direct Livestream? This is the first line of the official post: "Get ready to Expect the Unexpected... on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 at 16:30 UTC!" https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/dovetail-direct-2025-live-on-26th-august.93196/ I thought CEST was only 2 hours later than UTC? Where do you get the 2200 hrs time?
When you watch on YT you see the following information... Countdown begins 17:00utc Show begins at 20:00utc -> is 22:00hr mainland Europe so GER, NL, FR, B etc etc So that's bizar late for people they have to work or go to school next day... I have raised my questions about this whole situation but as expected DTG never responded on this. 22:00hr at night is ridiculous if you asking me.
just been reading through stuff on here about dtg being at gamescom, which i agree is most likely the reason the direct has been pushed back 3 hours. only a prediction, but i reckon the tsw7 thumbnail will get released during that so speculation can continue for the remainder of the countdown
I’m hoping this is about TSW7 I have been waiting to see if they are adding the class 730’s as its apart of the same family the 710’s are in, this would be an amazing addition to the WCML
Please not more WCML stuff it seems to be the only railway in the UK as far as some devs seem to think...
This will probably get buried but just for a bit of fun I created an anonymous questionaire in preparation for the Direct tomorrow. https://forms.gle/GHeFdmmwuzy3WWHH6 I know it starts at 17:00 UTC (pre-show nonsense).... will there be anything of note to keep an eye on in that three hours until the main show starts at 20:00 UTC? As you might have guessed I am not a fan of "pre-show" antics which makes users sit there for extended periods seeing if they can spot secrets or something. Just run the show! Anyhow... I hope you can fill in the questionaire about what you think will be announced and your opinion on features etc... Thanks in advance.
And when you have our ideas what will you do with it? I think people have shared enough on the forums so maybe you can look around and read what is shared....
Google forms prevent duplicate records. All the information provided gives ZERO personal information to me. That is why I said it was anonymous. I have been reading out the results and stats on stream in the lead up to the Dovetail Direct and I will be tomorrow during the live to. It is interesting to see people's opinions of TSW and their wants and needs for the sim going forward. Results will be public after 25th.
IF (and it's just guesswork really) we're getting an electric network in West Yorkshire, here's my "excitement rating". Just Skipton to Leeds Central - 4/10 Skipton and Ilkley to Leeds Central - 6/10 Bradford included - 7/10 Neville Hill included - 8/10 Class 321 included - 10/10 Leeds to Doncaster included - 12/10
People? What people? Some lads went past about 10 minutes ago. They were talking about football though. Doncaster isn't a good station to anchor a line to, no LNER crew changes there (or at Peterborough for that matter). If there's already a line to Doncaster and after a "Route Hop" you can continue the journey to somewhere that isn't Doncaster, then that's better. Especially if you're driving a Class 91 or 321.
If we do get another route with Doncaster it going to be empty with out a 91 Doncaster route Should be Doncaster to York and Leeds
Doncaster wasn't a good place to end the Northern section of the ECML route too. Quite a few trains don't even stop there. York further up the line is a driver change over point and would make more sense. Doncaster for more local trains does make more sense as an end point on a route.
That why a London to York route would be great Just make a London to Peterborough route and add Doncaster to York and maybe Leeds
This is quite common. A lot of ICEs don't stop at Fulda, Ingolstadt, Aschaffenburg. Most Avanti trains dont stop at MK.
‘just make these massive sections’ is very wishful and ultimately unrealistic thinking. all 3 of those would be separate routes with their own timetables, merging them would create a route that no console could run
It's silly, and I've been disappointed before, so I am prepared, but nonetheless I am quite excited by tonight's DTL. At best, we'll get some real improvements, at worst, some interesting new DLC. And it's a novelty isn't it.
I think people avoid the first part of Matt's statement and focus on the second to fool themselves into thinking "memory isn't an issue" in order to justify longer routes. Beyond that, I still come back to the point that the longer the route, the more it'll cost. Three routes merged into one will still be 3 times the cost to make since those hours of work still have to go in. I hear people demanding huge routes three times as long, but no one saying they want to pay three times as much. The routes and costs are where they are because that's what they've figured out people are willing to pay.
I was most excited by the Rush Hour announcement - since TSW3 my interest dwindled (still interested, just not as excited as before). I'm getting rekindled excitement with this one though. Might just be the countdown. I'm a sucker for countdowns.
I guess its more appropriate to speak in here now. Since we all pretty much know its TSW7. But anyway...around 2 hours to go
what do you think the core feature is this time since last time when they start the stream we heard passenger announcement while we waited for the stream to start? i really like how they hinted that passenger announcement was the core feature. i think they should keep the announcement and use it everytime they start the dovetail direct moving forward cause THAT WAS THE BEST !!!!!
I would be happy if it no longer runs like a dog scooting, It would be like every route in the game is fresh and new again.
