Back in 2015, the railway between Nottingham and Lincoln was a classic East Midlands Trains route, linking Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire through a mixture of busy towns, quiet countryside and historic railway stations. ROLLING STOCK: BR CLASS 156 DMU EMT (NEW) The Class 156 Super Sprinter is a classic British diesel multiple unit, introduced by British Rail in the late 1980s to replace older trains on regional routes. A familiar sight on the network, and another variant of the sprinter family in TSW. BR CLASS 153 DMU EMT (Reused) The Class 153, seen in Cardiff City Network returns for this route, this time sporting the EMT livery and doing occasional services on the route. BR CLASS 158 DMU EMT (Reused) The EMT 158 returns for this route, subbing in for the Class 156 services along the route, like Newark Castle - Matlock services.
