Epic Games Should Alerters Go Off When The Train Is Stationary?

I've noticed when playing LIRR2 with the M9 and Riviera Line with the Class 802 that the alerter will go off when I am stopped at stations. Are they supposed to do that?

I kinda thought they didn't go off unless the train was in motion but maybe only certain trains do that? Just curious.

With the LIRR, the brakes have to be in max to suppress or disable the alarm when stationary. That's how it is in real life. Can't speak for the class 802, but I'd assume it's the same.

 

Ah, that could explain it. I have a habit of reducing brakes to a minimum level once stopped so they come off faster when I'm ready to leave. I'll try going to max once stopped.

For UK trains you put the reverser into neutral. That stops the DSD or DVD from sounding.
