I Have Something To Say, Remember When I Said Awdry's First Could Be Added To Wonders Of Sodor As A Secret Character For Free? Well, Awdry's First That I'm Refering To, Is Edward, He Is One Of Most People's Most Favorite Character To Be Ever First Created, And To Ever Be Named, I've Read Some Stories About Him, I Even Watched His Stories On Tv As a Little Boy, And He Is Special For That, Also One Of Sodor's Most Important Engines (And One Of The Most Important Characters Of The Thomas Franchise) And We Love Him For That As Well, He Is A Popular Character And Would Be A Great Addition To The Game, Or At least He Would've Been, but Sadly He Has To Wait Longer (alongside Ourselves) Until he Get Added To The Game, Because Mattel Accidently Forgot To Add Him To The Very First Roadmap As A Character Add-on With A Map Expansion, Now because he's not going to be an add-on for a while... Hold Up I Need To Stop Acting a Little Mad Before talking about Him More (i take deep breaths), now because he isn't going to be in the very first roadmap, i have a prediction about him Whether being the very final dlc of wonders of sodor at The Very End Of The Game (i could be wrong), Or Being The Next DLC After The One Coming In Early 2027 (you know who I'm Talking About), If You Have Any Predictions About Edward, You Can Write Down Below, To See If He's Whether Going To Be The Final DLC, Or Going To Be The Next DLC
I was actually planning on making a thread about how Edward’s branch line and Duck’s branch line could be handled in a DLC. After those two, I could see them adding some more engine packs next year. I think it really depends on what other characters and locations get name dropped that aren’t in the game in the upcoming Henry and Toby packs. Oliver would definitely be one of them, for sure since he was also name-dropped.
Oh Cool, But If Dovetail Said Edward Has A Chance Of Being Added, But would End The Game Completly, Would You Have Him Now (Which Ends The Game), Or Later (Where Every DLC Comes, But Edward Comes Later)
I think Edward should be added next with his branch line alongside Duck and his branch line. I don’t think WOS will end there with Edward and Duck personally. I think after those two I’d expect at least two more engines, one of them being Oliver who was name-dropped in the game too. After that, I think it really depends on if any other characters and locations that aren’t in the game yet get name-dropped.
Im surprised Edward wasn’t on the road map for later in 2027, I see him being next after Henry and Toby with the delay coming because they have to build his branch line to accompany him
Agreed, i think Edward is a good candidate for a character + map extension DLC. If you see their post from the direct recap you can see they seem to have more to announce at a later date that's not ready yet:
You Know That Would End The Game If Dovetail Said You Can Have Edward, However The Game Will End, And Won't Get Any More DLCs, Which Would Be Sad, Disregard Though, That Game Would Had A Short Run, And A Lovely Too... But If There Was A Chance That Dovetail Could Continue The Game In 10 Years Time After Edward, Then We Might Get A Lot Of New DLCs, Which Would Be Insane (maybe 120 DLCs Because They Have Been Working On Those For That Long In My Prediction), Which Would Of Meant You Have Been Right.
Enough with the fear-mongering, already. The game has no signs of ending anytime soon and I doubt Edward would be the “last DLC”.

as long as the DLCs remain profitable they’ll keep producing them, if they’re only showing us a silhouette then there’s no reason not to announce Edward too, those 3 plus Duck are the most requested and will therefore sell well enough to cover development costs
it might be a case of having to get approval from the IP holder. I'm sure they have long term plans, just nothing they can announce until it's set in stone.
