Couldn't find a thread about route tasks so I thought i would start one. But there is feel DTG the delete this. So does anyone actually enjoy hunting down the route tasks if so why . I like to do them gives me chance to explore the route before I drive it. But are some routes where I just thought no thanks. And I really hate it when they spread along the route. I would rather have them all at stations and yards. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I only ever bother with them if part of the Monthly Mastery or I inadvertently trigger one walking by. But otherwise I feel they serve little purpose and the time taken to model and place them would be better diverted elsewhere by the route builder(s).
Depends on the route, more specifically where those are placed. I expect them to be at the stations, so I like exploring all them stations and hunting them, be it during my stop at the station or simply on foot. I do not bother with collectables placed in the middle of BF nowhere.
Sometimes I'll use scenario planner to drive the whole route, stopping at each station and looking for things, putting the posters up etc without the constraints of the timetable. It can be fun.
I don't mind them, it gives me an excuse to explore the route, and also serves as a marker for places I've already explored and/or train spotted at
