Some 508s with this would be super welcome since they were leased to be used on both the Sheerness branch and the MVL, but I do get that it would be significantly more work to either build a 508 from scratch or modify DTGs 313 model.
For more backdated Southeastern routes look like I am only ones want in Connex era where you got class 423 and 411 and 465/1
I can't blame them too much, they seem to like doing self distribution and TSW pretty much demands working with DTG and Steam.
For all of its faults, I always really liked the 313s run sounds, and have always thought they were some of the best out there. It’s something I’ve only ever seen Armstrong Powerhouse get right with there mastery of sound recording. If Firefly are going to be focused on the Southeastern region that would make me very happy!
Of all the backdated units for South Eastern, I'd much prefer some slam-door action. I'd hate to sound sniffy about it but I can't stand the PEP units. I had the misfortune of traveling from Colchester to London on one back when some powdery snow put most of the Class 321 fleet out of action for a couple of days back in Jan/Feb 1991.
I have recently visited this line and don't think it's that of a fun and very scenic route. 20 min drive, most patterns differ in stops, basically some don't stop at Swale, and nowadays they run Class 375/3s. It is included in one of the CMLs in TSC, if interested someone could try to play that in a quick play to have a preview. I am looking forward to Class 466 though.
I'm dreaming here as it would never happen... But hypothetically if we are talking of historic units, for me it would have to be the 2EPBs (both BR & Southern Railway design) on a branch line like this. I find the PEP design a bit boring (personal opinion)... So something with a bit of personality and purely functional looks like an EPB wouldn't be a bad thing!
