In the DTL Articles and the Livestreams, the ICE 4 is cited as one of the most requested German Trains.

Out of pure Curiosity, I’d be interested to know what you think which Train holds that spot now. Even though I don't personally need it, my first thought naturally goes to the ICE 2, the ICE-TD and of course the IC 2

Personally I wish for the DB BR 189 or an older Generation of Dostos

For the UK, probably Class 55 Deltic diesel.

For Germany, not so sure - either the 189 or 220/V200 perhaps?

I thought it would be the 156 Sprinter for UK and 185 maybe? Thought nobody was into old stuff any more.

Personally for me a 37/4 in the UK

    232 for DB.

50, 55, 56, a tank engine of some description to be an 08 analogue when steam is up to an acceptable standard.

At this point any new Dostos will do, its crazy that after all these years we're still stuck with the same old (lower entry)Dostos.

Personally I'd wish for a Br120 or Br156 in Germany, Class 319 for the UK and the AEM-7 for the US.

I think the 91 is probably up there too UK wise.

On a personal level I'd really like the Class 185, but it'd obviously need a route to run it on

    I’d forgotten the 91…

Of course those posting to this thread probably need to be mindful that the thread title reads What *is* the most requested loco, not to restate your own wishlist! Though I think it’s fair to say the Deltic and 91 have probably popped up more than most, for the UK.

Gotta be the 91 for the UK.
In Germany for me it feels like it's more about coaches - either other Dosto generations or i-Wagen.
For Austria maybe a shunter or the 1144 (and again, coaches)
For the Netherlands I think we'd take almost anything but a 1700 + ICR would be cool

    For the UK it's a tricky one, I'd say there are several candidates, in no particular order;
    • Class 91
    • Class 55 "Deltic"
    • Class 25
    • Class 56
    • Class 60
It depends on the threads, if you go into a JT route thread then the 25 is heavily requested, same for North TransPennine, the MML threads call for the 56 and 60 and elsewhere there's the 91 and Deltic. Of course there are also calls for them in other threads too, the Deltic would fit into the NTP route as that's sadly how they spent their final couple of years, the 56 would also work on JT routes as would the 60 if one "fudged" the era by a couple of years...

On the unit front, well there are growing calls for the Southern Region slammer units as well as more "modern" ones such as the 319 and 321 and now the 508s...

I would go for the DB BR 120. Quite a couple of timetables in TSW actually use the BR 103 or BR 101. For example Left Rhine 1997 (Original timetable...) 120 not 103:
EC 12/13, EC 18/19, EC 114/115, IC 504/505, IC 506/507, IC 512/513, IC 516/517, IC 518/519, IC 522/523, IC 524/525, IC 600/601, IC 604/605, IC 613/614, IC 616/617, IC 620/621...so forth and so on, basically every IC that was going to München, Augsburg, Ulm or Stuttgart, because these trains were routed via the SFS Mannheim-Stuttgart, where the 103 wasn't allowed to drive (not pressure tested...).

Class 91 is by far the most requested UK loco in game. Its been asked for ever since I played TSW, 6 years ago.

Question - What’s the most requested German train now?
Answers - all these UK trains

This is going the same as those threads when someone asks for players favourite route and it ends up being a thread of top ten favourite routes or a top five from each region or even a list of all the routes in order and not people just naming their one favourite route. Happens every time.

I really do think people just don’t read properly.

I didn't know the 103s weren't allowed on that line. However the trains with 2 as the penultimate number would go to Munich via Nurnberg, not Stuttgart.

Here is all DB FV services for that year https://www.fernbahn.de/datenbank/s...uche_zugverzeichnis=1#fv_suche_zugverzeichnis

I think the ICE 3 Neo is very high on this ladder. I think it would be a perfect addition to the game and I would love to see it in game, however my train would be the Stadler Kiss or the Twindexx Vario in the Schleswig-Holstein design.

Actually that's right, but...these trains used the SFS Hannover-Würzburg between Aschaffenburg and Würzburg via Nantenbacher Kurve.

I'd think an IC2 might not be too far away with the 147 we have now.
Personally I'd be most happy with the Ludmilla, of course.

I have mixed feelings about IC2, because although it would be realistic and add variety, all it's done has replaced my favourite trains :(

but agreed, they are probably the biggest miss in the modern DB fleet.

As for Germany, both the 420 and 232 are in the pipeline, and certainly well requested. The 151 and the 120 could be very high up the list, I suppose.

Class 56 would be great to have same with a 59 won't been to had to do as 56 is just a modify 47 with a new engine and a cab and 59 just a Class 66 with a older engine a 59 would work great on Medway Valley Southeastern High Speed WCML and Great Western Express
and Class 60 would be great to as for routes like London to Brighton and Midland Mainline

I'd like to see an older generation of Dostos, as the ones we have now are extremely boring.

I would trust DTG to release an IC2 DLC with a BR146 (at full price, of course), and the BR 147 we already have would receive a Livery update to be compatible with that.

It did. It says that the ICE 4 was one of the most requested German trains… what do you think fills that spot now? It couldn’t be clearer.

I expect the ÖBB Railjet we're also getting was the very high on the most requested list for players of mainland European routes as well.

I'm looking forward to it more than the ICE4 and hope the new Austrian route timetables will be good along with it. Perhaps the forerunner of a new ÖBB route if sales go well?

At least for the US, as other stated, any version of the GE Genesis engine (P40DC, P42DC, and P32AC-DM)

Though its interesting no US engine makes the list on the discord channel.

Seeing that list, the Germans must love their ICE's a lot, isn't it? While I see somehow their appeal, the services in game with those units are not the most exciting.

I would add Stadlers to the list, as there isn't any German one in game and those are quite common irl.

No, I believe the reason why there are so many long distance trains from Germany is simply due to the fact that you see them on every single station. This is pretty different to the Uk or American systems and people would tend to vote for what they see…
Just in case you refer to DTG with „they“, this is not how this works, the suggestions are made by the community and voted for by the community as well. If the Americans would like to see more stuff from the US I would propose someone must start writing suggestions and some others will have to vote for them:cool:

I dont think the Deltic is anywhere near the most requested loco for the UK lmao.

Class 91 definitely clears it, I see it mentioned far more across different forums

91 easy #1. And then generally I think people want these newer units like 730, 196 and 7, as much as I don't like them myself.
Maybe Im just saying stuff though. Its hard to tell, depending on what platform you look, most people will be asking for completely different things.

Only reason why a few want the 730 is only missing new stock on WCML and Cross City since we got 805 and 807 So would be great for wcml post 2023 long with the 352 pre 2020 also a 92 also needed foe WCML

Not the case. We've had so many backdated routes up north yet none down here in the Network South East area. There's plenty of us who'd love to stand at somewhere like Clapham Junction, Stratford, Barking or London Bridge surrounded by proper trains in red, white, grey and blue and station furniture in bright red. It's surely only a matter of time.

I hope developers are reading this too. Who's up for making something truly unique in Train Sim World 7? Fortune favours the brave.

Another vote for anything in the Amtrak Genesis series. Any Amtrak diesel, really.

Maybe a DLC for Miami Tri-rail?

The GEML would suit this best as a) it hasn't been done, and b) you'd get lovely IC swallow too.

    1. Pointless, because route is too short and 4 services is not enough for DLC.
    2. Also Matt said no.
    3. We have 2 chances: third party devs or Amtrak local diesel route from DTG. Both chances are slightly higher than 0.

    1. I think DTG (or a 3rd-party) need to look at TSW as a whole as the base of an Amtrak diesel DLC, not just one route. In addition to Miami, I know at least NY-Trenton and Boston-Providence have the diesel services in the timetable already (using the ACS-64 instead). Sandpatch, Horseshoe Curve, and Cajon Pass would support it as well. I'm sure I'm missing some others as well.

    2. They need to find a way to represent services that don't have a stop on the map.

E.g. Sandpatch only has Cumberland, cause it doesn't run all the way to Connellsville, but why does that actually matter? Why can't I just run from Cumberland to the end of the map and vice versa? AI services run to/from portals all the time-why can't player services?

Is that so? Amtrak apparently uses the ACS-64 for all its services on the electrified sections of the NEC. The only diesel Amtrak from/to Boston South is Lake Shore Limited, and it doesn't go along the NEC.

Maybe it was the LSL? It might have only been some switching moves in the South Station yard? Or Ai-only? Or am I thinking of Boston-Worcester?

I haven't actually driven either route in a while but I swear I remember it being a thing. I'll check it next time i'm in the game.

To be precise, the railjet is also highly awaited, so this was actually a good decision from Tsg/Dtg.

    For me personally:

    In the Era BR 80s: a class 56 or a class 25
    Modern Era Germany: Euro Dual
Modern Uk: cl.93 or cl. 99
