Hi- I am hoping for some help with this route. I purchased the Western Main Lines pack from JT which includes the line through Cornwall to Penzance. I can do a QD starting at Penzance which suggests that the download was successful but when I come create a new scenario by going to: Build/Scenario/Standard/Create new scenario my start options go no further than Plymouth - no Cornish stations at all as start points. I have reloaded the software from source but nothing changes which means my plan to originate a service to Paddington from Penzance can't be done (or at least I can't see a way). Perhaps someone else has run into this and found a solution. Many thanks for any help out there, I have opened a ticket at JT today and await their response as well. Many thanks Mike
If you want to start a scenario at Penzance, "fly" there on the map and then create a scenario marker: Open any free roam Find Penzance on the map Ctrl-Left Mouse, to centre the map on that location Press the little right-hand pointing triangle in the location box at the top of the map Right-click to close the map, you will find you are at your chosen location (but you might be underground or high in the sky - you can easily sort that). Place your scenario marker of choice Generally you would say no to Saving the free roam scenario Now you will be in the Scenario editor and can complete the scenario detals and create your train(s) as normal. Interesting. I have Just Trains Cornish Mainline and South Western Expressway and both unplayable. Both crash. Contacted Just Trains and no reply and the same for DTG. Both brought from Steam.
Needs to be JT purchased to run full route. Comes with Class 50 : (WML) BR 1A16 Penzance to Paddington - 360 minute route and others
Go to the assets folder, then to the Just Trains folder, do a search for Blueprint.pak files, look for those files with zero bytes (usually just one file shows up), and delete it.
Quick question - did you make sure that the pack you bought includes the Cornish Mainline? The Western Mainlines is annoyingly split into many extensions, the base route including the track for all, but without the scenery.
Thank you and apologies for the delay in replying. I have found four of the BluePrint.pak so I am wondering if to delete them all or not. The last thing I want to do is have to uninstall and then reinstall..
In all my years dealing with JT, I have not had a reply from their support. I have been dealing with them since 2010.
Not being funny, but if you buy a JustTrains product through Steam it is Dovetail Support that should handle it (passing it themselves back to Just Trains if appropriate) as it is they that are marketing it. But one would expect JustTrains to politely say so. I'm intrigued about the lack of responses, I have always found Dovetail Support communicative although occasionally I haven't had the right answer first time round. At times I have got into deep discussion on technical detail and found them very helpful indeed. To deal with routes that crash, they will usually ask you to remove all other add-ons to be sure nothing else is interfering. It sounds harsh but it is easy to back them up and reinstate them systematically later. Realistically this is likely to be the cause of a game crashing for one user when many others have no issues at all. Hello John. Thank you for your detailed response. I do have third party games but brought from Steam. I do not make any alterations to the game for example making my own routes or consist. Still awaiting a reply from DTG and I do think they are looking at this issue and will get back to me.
