This thread will open once the route is released. Hello folks, This is the official master feedback thread for the Bahnstrecke Nürnberg - Würzburg Route Add-On. Please keep all discussions related only to feedback, and include the game platform you are using in any comments. Off-topic messages might be deleted or moved to the appropriate threads. Make sure to also check our extensive TSW 7 Support Pages, which include solutions to many common issues. When providing feedback, please always add the following details if possible: Platform (i.e.: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S) Service/Scenario played when the issue occurred. Repeatability. How often does this issue occur? Images/Videos of the issue occurring. Here are a few examples of how to best provide feedback and what to avoid: Helpful issue reports "PC (Steam), Service XYZ, the AI train at X remained stationary, blocking the route. This has happened 3 out of 3 attempts. Screenshot attached." "Xbox Series X: The station announcement audio at Y is much quieter than other stations. I've noticed it on multiple services." "PS5 - Passengers do not board at Z Station. I was able to reproduce this every time." Positive feedback (also welcome!) "PC: Really enjoying the scenery between A and B. The route looks fantastic, especially at sunset." "PS5: The train handling feels great, and the services are a lot of fun to drive." "The ambient audio around the stations is excellent and really adds to the atmosphere." Less helpful feedback "It's broken." "Fix this." "The route is bad." "Game crashed." (without any details about where, when, or how it happened) The more details you provide, whether reporting an issue or sharing something enjoyable, the more helpful your feedback will be to the team. As always, thank you for your feedback. All the best, Jan
Against my better judgement I bought it. Platform: PlayStation 5 Scenario: Nighty Night Audio is far out of sync. Whatever you do, the audio comes seconds later. Makes SIFA unusable. Haven't confirmed if it scenario only or train related. This may have been a game wide audio issue as it continued to be delayed in the main menu. Closing and reloading the game fixed it for now
PC steam but probably all platforms: DB BR 193 doesn't register safety systems as active, only giving +35 score and not +65 score when driving. Same issue as the Frankfurt - Fulda one just copied over.
xbox series x 440 -the pzb indicator panel is not illuminated, even on 100% -the ai guard does not open or close the doors, and even when closing the doors myself the guard door also stayed open -the blind cannot be rolled up and down
How about crashes on console? Two during a livestream on Xbox Series X was close to farcical. Imagine Rockstar previewing GTA 6 on PS5 and having the game crash twice. How embarrassing!
I posted about this in general discussion earlier, I'm also on XSX as Matt was yesterday and thought I'd try the same service Matt did which crashed within minutes. It didn't crash. I can only think the crash was due to either having all layers loaded and/or enabled which i didn't.
PC Steam with an RTX 3060 @ 1080p. I like that the route offers a challenge with changing speed limits and gradients but it really needs some optimisation. Loading in at Nürnberg in an ICE 4 I was getting 30fps and it took several kilometers before that increased. To be fair, after that it probably averaged around 50fps but it wasn't smooth and there was one area where it dropped to around 20. Some of this will be due to the shader cache compilation, so I'll try again tomorrow with a different train.
PC (Steam), DB BR412 (ICE4) Bug Report -> ICE4 missing in Loco Feedback, so I post it in in this Thread. I like the 3D Model of the BR 412. It looks very great. The sounds are really realistic aswell. I would like to share some Bugs so this train can be improved and gets much better. - If I brake with the brake lever (Führerbremsventil), then there comes only 1 time the "breaking" sound from the brake lever but the sound should be always there if Im goint to brake more and not only if I begin to brake. - There are some Sounds missing like "Führerraum besetzt" or the Sound when the trains enters the LZB. - The AFB is not that accurat. It brakes sometimes too late and not that smooth. (The AFB problem should be already known) - In the passenger area between the different choaches, the doors are closed (the heavy ones). That doors are fire doors. They should be open in normal state. - The different brake modes (also known from the "new" ICE3 Train from Ingolstadt - Nuremberg) are missing. (I dont know if this is a bug, but in comparison to other trains, if I give more "power" with the driving lever then the power comes nearly instand . Im not sure if this is realistic. It should be inspected if this is realistic or not) - The LZB breaking curve is also very flat. If the LZB wants me to brake from like 200 to 20 then its possible right now to do this with only braking level 1A. I dont think that is realistic. On other routes like Kassel-Würzburg or Nuremberg - Ingolstadt I have to go on braking level 3-4, sometimes 5-6 for going to not overspeed. So I think the train brakes "too good" or the LZB starts way to early with braking. All in all that Train is a very good addition to this game. As already said this Train will be much better if these bugs are getting fixed. I hope this feedback helps a litte bit to make this train a much better experience. (Sorry for my bad English lol)
PS5 Pro DB Vectron – the SiFa system cannot be acknowledged using the round button while driving; it only works when the audible SiFa signal sounds ... an issue carried over from TSW6 ... very annoying. DB Vectron – safety systems do not award full AP points; the ATB system is reportedly missing ... a bug carried over from TSW6. Due to a scoring error, it is impossible to complete the services and especially the scenarios with a platinum medal. – It is a shame that the aforementioned errors (shortcomings) were carried over into TSW7 as well.
which had it carried over from TSW 5. It was really great that AFB was added to the vectron, but it's a shame it left this bug.
Hello. I’m playing on PS5 with the ICE 4. There is terrible stuttering at Nuremberg station. The train moves jerkily, the visuals stutter, and the audio is unstable. The situation improves after leaving Nuremberg, though some lag persists. Severe stuttering also occurred when passing an oncoming ICE 4. The route is interesting overall, but optimization is a major issue. There is also stuttering at Würzburg station, though not as bad as in Nuremberg. It’s worrying to think what the stuttering will be like once all timetable layers become available. We hope the situation improves. The experience left a poor impression.
PS5 Pro BR 440 – Even though I have the settings configured to keep safety systems active, the safety systems are off by default when starting a service, so I have to switch them on manually. Acknowledging SiFa using the round button simultaneously triggers the PZB Acknowledge function, causing the PZB system's confirmation sound to play every time. I don't get it, on some locomotives and units, it works correctly and handles SiFa independently. On others, like the DB Vectron, SiFa only acknowledges when the acoustic signal sounds. There are very few cases where it actually works the way one would expect.
ah, maybe that’s where i was having an issue. i’ve also got safety systems on by default, so was surprised when the pzb indication panel didn’t light up
Good morning folks, Thank you for your reports so far, we're logging everything at the moment. As a reminder, please keep messages in here only related to feedback or follow-ups and keep general discussions in the relevant threads. This makes tracking issues easier for our teams. Just a few follow-up questions: Are all audio sources out of sync or is this only affecting certain actions like pressing a button and the related sound playing with a delay? has this occured since the initial restart fixed this? Does this only affect this scenario, or have you noticed this elsewhere since the original report? Can I check if you have the "Enable Safety Systems by default" setting activated or not? What Graphic quality preset are you using? We are aware that performance around Nürnberg is lower due to the higher amount of assets present there.
I can run the S-Bahn-Nürnberg version of the BR442 on the non-electrified Maintalbahn. That probably shouldn't be possible. System: PC/Steam
ICE4 AFB needs some serious work, constantly flickering between power and brake when at target speed, often overshooting speed if you're accelerating up to it. There's the brake mode button but I can't see any indication as to what those brake modes are, or how many, so I have no idea what's going on. This applies to all routes, but especially so on German routes - vanilla game signal light viewing distance is absolutely appalling. You can barely see distant signals which is a pain when you're doing 160km/h and are hit with a double yellow. There's been a mod (by londonmidland ) that fixes this and I'm sure it'll come again, but it really needs fixing in the base game.
It seems that ATB and PZB both need to be on to get the bonus score. That isn't possible as they are mutually exclusive (depending on the country that is set).
I do not but manually activate safety systems PZB/LZB and Sifa. Issue stems from when Netherlands ATB was added so it counts the ATB being off as not all safety systems active. Same issue is on the Frankurt - Fulda DB Vectron when ATB was added.
ICE4 - AFB set speed shown on the train's displays doesn't match the speed that the game HUD shows. I show 78km/h on the HUD, but 80km/h on train displays, for example. EDIT: It also shows (and I guess allows) speeds past 160km/h under normal PZB operation. I don't believe this is correct.
PS5 Pro BR442 – the cab announcement volume is significantly lower compared to other trains. --------------------------------------------- By the way, if you lower the cab announcement volume in the settings (e.g., to 0), the "Apply" button doesn't work; you have to confirm the change when exiting the settings menu, and upon restarting TSW7, the volume reverts to the default 100%... unfortunately, just like in TSW6. EDIT: It’s the same with Audio settings - train announcements, when I switch them to "Off," they’re back to "On" when I restart TSW7...
To double-check, what exactly is not being illuminated? The PZB isolation button in the fusebox at the back of the cab or an indicator on the driver's console? If possible, could you share a screenshot of this please?
ICE4 - Service ICE 680 (10:31) spends the entire run stuck behind freight service EZ51721. I'm still 18km from Würzburg with only 3 minutes to do that in.
BR440 - seems to load without safety systems enabled even though it is enabled in game settings (and has so far worked on other trains). Service RE10 (58217) also initialised with the train past the starting signal at Würzbug.
it’s the indicator on the driver’s console. i’ve had the issue a few times so it’s not just one service that is bugged
historicalduck7 Doesn't seems the PZB is switched on. So none of these 6 indicators will be lit. I tested that in game and it works fine to me. The problem with the not switching safety systems is known. The core code has a bug for push buttons. They get pressed and then get stuck instead of coming back out and therefor the systems will not be on at the moment.
I've now gotten several crashes in Nürnberg jumping into the Vectron on a passenger service to Fürth and just operating the controls. One time it was while looking at a display and pressing B on the controller to back out of the display. Another time was when pressing the "close doors" button in the cab. Both times I had not been getting going and just hanging around in Nürnberg Hbf waiting for departure. Another crash was with the BR440 in Rottendorf. I took the service from Würzburg to Kitzingen and stopped in Rottendorf. I was looking at a display in the cab and tried to back out of it with the B button. I noticed at that point that the B button backed me out of the display AS WELL as activating PSB Release. I was confused and opened the screen a couple more times and backed out with the B button a couple more times and then on one B-button press it crashed. Platform: PC/Steam
Hi Jan, I'm using High for most settings and Medium for the rest. It's whatever it defaulted to when I installed it. The only thing I changed was enabling the enhanced lighting.
ICE 4 - the loco systems get completely broken when restoring from a savegame, safety systems are unitialized and initializing them will cause a PZB emergency brake becasue you're most likely traveling over 40kph. After stop, the train will not get moving again. After restating the simulation from the menu the loco will be moving, but AFB will not work again, nor will half the panels, mainly those showing drivetrain load. edit: The brake lever also doesn't work then... only release and emergeny positions work... wow... :-D Platform: PC/Steam
Hello there, We just released a hotfix that should resolve the crashing issue when the AI conductor is activated. Please let me know if this resolves the issue for you or not.
I don’t know what the idea behind the BR440 fix was, but the AI Conductor Mode still isn’t working. It’s nice that the crashes have been resolved, but this doesn’t actually improve anything. The AI conductor tries to close the doors but then does absolutely nothing, and all the doors remain open. So yeah… thanks for the effort, I guess.
Primary goal was to address instant crashes, we have future updates lined up for launch that can help add more functionality and take further feedback to adjust the system too.
Quick note regarding the blinds: these are not lowered manually, but electrically, via a switch on the bottom right of the driver console, under the wiper settings. You can find it here:
PS5 TSW7 Nürnberg BR 401 tutorial has no brakes if HLL Fill was not used. Old bug. Like player frozen on platform ( controller stick not active ) until cycle to a menu or the map ) another persisting old bug still in TSW7 on PS5 late on Sept 10 and this morning EST Sept 11.
PS5 Pro: I cannot enable the AFB, because the Monitors don`t work. (Or is there another way to enable it?)
Go to settings > HUD & GAMEPLAY > Digital Display Screen View > set to classic. Will let you select things on the screens
Right, second run on the route. This time with the ICE-T. The frame rate in Nürnberg was still around the same maybe a couple of fps higher. In Würzburg, it was only around 20fps. However, outside of the two major stations it was a lot smoother run overall with a higher average fps. I did notice a drop in fps to around 40 when I passed an ICE 4, though.
the afb lever in the ice 4 doesn’t seem to correspond with the speed it says it’ll maintain, several times now i’ve set it to 140, and the monitors will say 142, or if i set it to 100 it’ll set it at 99, and if i push it up to 101 it’ll set it at 102
this happens on other lzb trains as well, so i think there’s something up with the core. i loaded in a save halfway through an ingolstadt run and had no lzb for the rest of the journey
I have noticed, not sure if it is a bug but looks like it... the brake gauge on ICE 4 is not moving (I mean the dial on the right) - I mean, kinda looks like the second tab on the digital screen shows the braking, like the AFB standing brake... but the physical dial or gauge is not moving at all... except if you drop to emergency, in which case the yellow needle goes to zero... otherwise no movement there
