Does Anyone know what these yellow signs with the letter D on it mean on Some signals?

Noticed not every crossing has whistle boards proceeding them and cars are going through some crossings too.

    Good afternoon folks,

Just giving a quick update that the crashing issues caused by the AI Conductor should now be resolved. We released a hotfix for this, which should be available on your systems now or within the next 24 hours.
If you are still experiencing these crashes, please let us know.

    All the best,
    Jan

I think the line uses NORAC rules. If that is the case, the D means:

    DISTANT SIGNAL MARKER
Visual reminder to push-pull trains that Rule 504-B applies in the block governed by this signal.

    Rule 504-B reads as follows:

Push-Pull Trains Making Station Stops or Slow Movement After Passing Distant Signal

If a push-pull train that has passed a distant signal makes a station stop or reduces speed to less than 10 MPH, it must:

    1. Approach the home signal prepared to stop,
    AND
    2. Not exceed 40 MPH, unless governed by a slower speed.

The train may resume the speed authorized by the distant signal when the home signal is seen to display a proceed indication. If a push-pull train makes a stop other than a station stop in any block, it will be governed by paragraph (A) of this rule.

    Rule 504-A:

Trains Making Stops Other Than Station Stops

If a train that has passed a block signal stops for any reason other than a passenger train
making a station stop, it must proceed at Restricted Speed. The train may resume the
speed authorized by the last signal received when:

    1. The next signal is seen to display a proceed indication,
    AND
    2. The track is known to be clear to the next signal.

A handful of AI services with the GP49 don't have headlights on. The ballast train specifically but I've seen a few passenger services without lights

Title: Asset Discrepancy - Tri-Rail GP49H-3 Deluxe Unit Has Type E Coupler In-Game instead of Type F (As Shown in Promo Art)Category: 3D Art / Asset BugRoute/Add-on: Florida Tri-Rail (Deluxe/Loco Add-on)Description:There is a visual asset modeling error on the Tri-Rail GP49H-3 locomotive. The 3D model loaded onto the engine in-game features a standard Type E freight coupler. However, the official marketing and advertisement images for the route correctly display the prototypical commuter Type F coupler.Steps to reproduce:Spawn or inspect the Tri-Rail GP49H-3 unit in-game and view its front/rear couplers (currently rendered as a Type E).Compare it to the official promotional artwork, which accurately depicts a Type F coupler.Expected result: The in-game GP49H-3 asset should be updated to utilize the correct Type F coupler model as shown in the advertisements.

Edit: Disregard... I met a shunter going in the opposite direction on the other track, so the re-route had reason. :) So works as intended.

    Original Post:
Service P617, Before Fort Lauderdale, I'm routed to the left track, only to be routed back to the right track after a curve. I imagine that happens becasue the route through the left track is shorter. But I don't think that's very prototypical to change tracks just for the shorter run throught a curve...

Noticed a couple of speed reductions to 45 miles per hour in odd places (straight rails). Don’t have random events enabled and the Speedo on the normal hud shows both a red and blue indicator, the red at 45mph and the blue at 79mph. Don’t know if this reduced speed reflects reality, but the speedometer seems to act as if it’s a temporary speed restriction with the two indicators.

Why is the bell linked to the horn in this route and other US routes? When you see US trains sounding their horns on YouTube for example, the bell doesn’t sound. The bell only seems to sound arriving at and departing stations.

it often is... played San Bernardino Line and bell goes on as soon as you sound horn and you have to deactivate it afterwards

Xbox Series X here. Bought it, got it, using it, love it.

Frame rate and stability are excellent in 7, sound work is exceptional (apart from some blips in GP49 rattle and GP38 horn that sounds like a distant vuvuzela). Loving the scenery and makes me miss Florida. But a couple of scenario problems…

CSX Miami: The radio calls in this scenario are persisting into regular timetable service (9:27 in FP40). I started with scenarios, might be a hard case to reproduce.

Tonight’s The Night: Followed directions but the on-foot destination at the first crossing stop is 900ft away and off the walkable map. If it’s a skill issue from me, would appreciate a hint how/why, can’t finish it.

I cant find the safety systems on some engines or if i turn it on dont get points, or it tells you to turn on other stuff that not on the locomotive.did the CSX miami scenario did not bother with safety system and it was giving me 65 points and i got platinum medal not having safety system on.

I guess they are relying on ppl turning on the safety systems by default option, so they skipped adding some switches as physical ones (BL36PH and its inactive TMS switch, ehm ehm)

Bells do come on by default once the horn is pressed in real life. Exceptions for some old locomotives.

    PC/Steam.
    - the light on the EATC(?) box stays red despite being cut-in, maybe that's correct but I couldn't really find any manual for it.
    - the scenario Mic Drop doesn't award enough points for a medal. I received 250 AP in total, maybe I've missed something.
    - something very minor: Small typo in the Journey Chapter Sun-sational! ;) upload_2026-9-12_17-42-38.png

This one's a bit of a pet peeve of mine, but could we get a fix on the red "application pipe" gauge needles so they work the way they should be working in the North American locos? For context, the white "suppression pipe" needle seems to work mostly correctly in that it is 0 psi anytime the brake setting is below suppression, and it equals the main reservoir pressure (~140 psi) when brakes are applied at or above suppression. However, the red application needle seems to just be a clone of the brake cylinder pressure which is not correct.

Taking from the descriptions of how 26-L brake equipment should function, the red application needle should either be equal to the main reservoir value (~140 psi) when there are no penalties or PCS lights active and when there is a penalty, the needle should drop to 0. This is a gross oversimplification, but I think it is enough to give someone a sense of what the real behavior should look like.

This should apply to the following stock available for TSW:
    • Tri-Rail GP49H-3
    • Tri-Rail BL36PH
    • MBTA F40PH-3C
    • NJT GP40PH-2B (when it is released with Bergen Line)
My references in case if anyone is curious:

    Hey there,

Could you describe where exactly you found this typo? I'm trying to find that description in the different Journey Mode chapters for Miami, but the one from your screenshot isn't amongst them.

    All the best,
    Jan

Thank you for the quick reply. Turns out I didn't have the GP49 Add-On installed, which is why I didn't see it.

    PS5 Pro.
On the GP59PH, the headlight control is labeled "rear headlights" when you hover over it—the same issue where the rear headlights are labeled as "front headlights."
The engine sound loop at idle is also a bit poor.

And on the BL36PH, the bell animation is missing when using Square and the up arrow.

    1. The horn and bell audio on the Rotem are way too quiet. Horns and bells on US locos are loud.
    2. The prime mover sounds on the BL36PH are drowned out by the birds chirping which definitely is not how locos are in real life.
    3. So far only tried with the BL36PH and Rotem cab car but the headlights are wayyyy too dim US train headlights are very bright and light up over a hundred feet in front of the train. These lights in game are like putting candles on the front and I can’t see past the train nose.

i have shared video from real Tri rail trains with Jamie on the TSC discord to help with fixing the above.

    4. The ditch lights on the GP40H-3 only activate with the horn but do not activate when pushing the crossing lights button in the cab or J on the keyboard.
    5. Railroad crossings don’t play bells when the gates are lowering like they do in real life. There are also crossings that would not be quiet zone compliant. Crossings that are quiet zones must have gates on both sides of the road on both sides of the tracks.
    6. The lighting is very washed out. South Florida looks very saturated and very green. In game it looks like an over-exposed photo on an old SLR that left the shutter open too long.
    7. F40PH bell has a very clear loop that clips out when it starts over.
    8. Horn and bell sounds should have more of an echo especially in a built up area where these sounds would echo off buildings and highway infrastructure.
    9. At multiple crossings, cars are still driving through the gates in front of you. I’m surprised this hasn’t concerned yall since license holders have expressed concerns about depicting unsafe practices in the game.
    10. The HUD stop overlay does not line the train doors at all with the wheelchair accessibility ramps at each station. This is exclusionary toward the disabled community as having trains stop with access to these goes a long way toward railroads’ efforts to comply with the ADA and promote access for passengers with disabilities. It seems DTG has not thought at all about accessibility (which is also evident in the bright all white menu that wasn’t designed to be inclusive of people with photosensitivity or who need high visual contrast and goes against every principle of inclusive UI/UX design.

Overall still a very solid route as far as US routes go. Still not quite at the standard we’ve seen a lot of UK and German content at. I just wish we either got bilevels or the complete route to Mangonia Park. Why are only Germany and the UK allowed to get fully self contained routes? We only have Framingham and Antelope Valley as complete. New Haven line was cut at Stamford. Boston sprinter was cut at Providence. Long Island was cut at Hicksville. San Bernardino was cut at San Bernardino Downtown. Miami is cut at Boca Raton where no trains turn around. So you consistently get trains that you aren’t able to hold onto all day, shift-style. I know this was critique heavy, but I want US routes to come at the same level of quality and detail and love as UK and German content has been getting.

Are the cab signals for the F40 bugged for anyone else? When you cut in ATC and ATP, the cab signal reads as red/restricted even after passing a green signal at the start of a run out of Boca Raton. Forces you to stay at 20mph regardless of upcoming speed limits or signals. I guess I'll just play with those off at the moment since it doesn't seem to be working. PS5 pro player
