The Rotem cab car horn needs to be way louder outside.
On freight hauler I've found that after setting a few paths for delivering cars the set path function stops working as it seems to not release the last path you did, therefore you get stuck at red signals etc and can't go anywhere.
Annnnd, can DTG please for the love of god update the CSX loco horns they are so old and horrid!!
Im loving the route, just a few things I've noticed so far.

I mean, yes, track monitor isnt a real system... but since we arent getting an actual PTC, then thats actually our substitution for information thing that real driver has available, like speed limits, exact positions of stations etc :)

I accidentally tripped the emergency brakes on the BL36PH and got stuck at the Sheridan Street station and this thing no longer moves. Tried everything. Put the Reverser into Neutral, put the throttle into Idle, put the brakes into Emergency for 60 seconds, reset Alerter, released brakes after 60 seconds and brake pressure back to max pressure, reverser to Forward, throttle to P1, P2, P3... Got nothing. Red outline square around throttle position on display HUD. Loco won't move. Didn't have this issue on Metrolink. (sigh) Well, guess I'll go back to Airedale & Wharfedale.

Did you try releasing the brakes and waiting for a few mins. The PCS can take a while to release them

The first few times I waited a minute. Longest after that was only a minute and a half. I'll try three minutes and see what happens. So far I still have the game saved at Sheridan Street Station and haven't saved over it with something else yet as the goal is to figure out what I'm doing wrong and complete the route before I totally give up..

Ugh I'm so mad at myself. Somehow when I triggered the emergency brakes and came to a stop I mistakenly opened the leftside doors which were the wrong doors then open the correct rightside doors for passengers to load then closed them. Problem was the leftside doors on the trackside were still open and loco wouldn't move. All fixed now but I wasted a lot of time.

Anyone else run into the bug of the keyboard command for the doors on the rotem cab car not working. I was runnig train P620 with the cab car, 3 trailers, and a BL36PH at the rear but when I got to Fort Lauderdale Airport, I pressed U to lock the right doors and the left doors opened, then neither would shut, not with the Y and U keys, or with Tab, lock both. I had to close each set of doors individually. Then, when I got to all the other stations, neither side would open, so I had to open the doors with the free camera and close them the same.

    Leipzig - Dresden 160Km
    Nurnberg -Wurzburg 100Km
    Frankfurt S-bahn 95 Km
Nurnberg - Ingolstadt 90Km (not 100 but close)

There are quite a number of routes that are longer than the 80Km that are included in the Tri-Rail route.

WCML Trent Valley is 108 miles, but that was developed by All Aboard studios, who, imo, are better at quality control, not tryna be mean to DTG, that's just my opinion.
WCML Preston to Carlisile is 90 miles long, but if we count the Morecambe, Heysham, and Windermere branches, and the spur to Kingmoor depot, then that route is also over 100 miles, but was made by JT. I know the Heysham and Windermere branches aren't driveable, but all the track is layed for both branches, so it counts to the total route coverage

The setting path issue has been a problem since we were introduced to that function. I still battle it on tsw6. Try getting out of the seat and sitting back down. That works for me on free roam.

Original post said 100 MILE, of which you named none and Dresden Leipzig was just an extension so I dont think it fits particularly well. Then we might count the Florida route and Boston Providence together, since the latter came out with Dresden Riesa

Sorry for my pedantism, but those are not German routes. Seems like UK 3rd party reigns supreme in this regard

I just thought you meant all routes

Sorry for derailing the thread. Anyway, can anyone advise me about speed limits on this route?
I didnt notice any warning signs about upcoming speed reductions. Signals were green too. Had all the safety systems on and didnt notice any incan signalling either. Did it in the "baby bullet" lookalike train. Is there something I managed to miss?

most of US routes dont have any in-cab safety systems implemented aside from Alerter-kind of stuff... except LIRR, MTA (New York metro style routes) and NEC routes (Amtrak and MBTA routes which have ATC and ACSES)... so nothing really forces you to exactly obey signals

so you will do best if you turn on track monitor, that one shows you upcoming speed limits... and maybe upcoming speed limit to show in HUD as well

So the real drivers just drive by memory?

route knowledge is a part of that... but they also have PTC (aka in-game the inactive displays, or displays showing barely anything) and in some cases, I guess, some paperwork with additional information... so yeah, mostly some version of PTC, gives information and enforces that the driver follows the signals properly and adheres to speeds

in-game you just keep below speed limits, nothing forces you to lower it because of a signal :D

So PTC is not fully implemented?

If you can ride from Florida to Boston without route hopping you can count it. If you buy Leipzig - Dresden you get the full route in 1 DLC.

Also worth mentioning SKW included the ICE 1 that has 13 different completely new coaches. It wasn't a deluxe edition train or anything. Tri-Rail includes mostly reused stock, including the deluxe loco.

Oh, and in the german locos the safety systems are implemented.

Has there been any news from the people working on the PTC mod? I remember hearing a few months ago that they were making good progress.

Although mods aren't a perfect solution, sometimes they end up being partially or completely incorporated into the game at a later time (like the enhanced lighting in TSW7).

That's a little hopeful at least- DTG has pretty much said they're not even gonna try....

I think that's kinda unfair tbh.

The BL36 is new (TriRail are the only company that uses them iirc). The GP49 is much better than any of the existing Geeps imo, especially the sounds.

Can't really blame DTG for IRL locos being so similar imo. Would German fans be happy if DTG was like, "oh, ICE4, ICE3, ICE-T, they're all the same, we only need to make one"? I don't think they would

Not saying they should only make one loco or that it takes almost no work to make those trains, but I do think it doesn't take the same work as it would take to make something 100% new.

Fyi, British Ace posted a PS5 Pro run on BL36PH Tri-Rail on his YouTube channel today where the loco stalled out northbound at Cypress Creek station. His stall was not doors related like mine but to solve it he had to remove the Reverser, shut down the loco and restart it to get it going again.

I mean, I am sure there are ppl who know US signals very well and can code/do programming etc., and maybe they couild come up with a fictional PTC thing for TSW? ... I would love to learn more about various US signals, but atm there is no incentive cos nothing forces me to obey em exactly :D

Just been playing this route with Freight hauler, and I must admit, it's a brilliant route. The amount of detail that's been put in is awesome, from the highway detailing, the sheer amount of road traffic (travelling at various speeds), road signage, foliage placement, brilliant use of ground textures (ballast changes as well), airport details, general clutter and yard detailing, the list go's on. Excellent fps as well. Whoever made this route, well done. I really recommend anyone who hasn't tried freight hauler with this route, give it a go - it really makes you appreciate all the route detailing when you're shunting around.
