So far not too bad. But - AI conductor As others have said - preferences don’t save after gameplay - that needs fixing. Secondly, for many stock, mainly the Class 313, the guard is only ringing one bell after door closure, it just needs changing to two. Easy mistake to make, but it is a critical guard code to safety state ready for departure, so please can we change that. thirdly, Class 313 specific but may apply to other stock. The AI guard seems to open the side door just behind the drivers cab, on the 313 the guard (as guard mode correctly shows) should be in the rear cab, not the front. That really does need to change because it’s not correct operating procedure and it just looks odd. Not quite sure how much testing or attention to detail is being deployed with this function, but they do need to be patched sooner rather than later
Yeah, I have the same problem on some routes. I had the same last year with TSW6 and it doesn’t get fixed! It seems like an issue as far back as at least TSW4 from what I’ve read. So don’t expect it to get fixed unfortunately. Even had it happen on Birmingham To Crewe when they pushed an update it cleared all my scores and medals on a selection. Read it would get fixed but it never did.
I actively avoided trying it with the VR mod the moment I had experienced the horrible stop-start motion of trying to walk anywhere on foot, and constantly losing momentum. Pretty sure that had I tried, I'd have been redecorating my living room in shades of today's breakfast in very short order from all the sudden stops.
No idea why they allowed stupid issues like this to be released, why can't they just research stuff grrr
wanted to add this happened on: Arosa linie (Freight pack) WCML Preston - Carlisle (military and Nuclear) Leipzig - Dresden (145) Salzburg-Rosenheim (101 expert) Boston - Providence (HSP46 and Acela) Cathcart Circle (380) Edinburgh - Glasgow (158) Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr (101) Linke Rheinstrecke (194) Rhein Ruhr Osten (g6) Riviera (only Limited power scenario in 220) Ruhr sieg Nord (363) Köln - Aachen (187) Kassel Würzburg (101 expert, railpool Vectron(btw this one should be under Nahverker Dresden but is listed with Kassel Würzburg))
Class 387 (GEX) & Electrostars. In external view I can no longer hear the driver vigilance alarm going off so keep getting brake tripped. Audible in cab but much quieter than before. AWS still audible. Volumes are set at default game levels 100%. Was fine under TSW6. Thanks Xbox X.
PS5 Pro Layers With the launch of TSW7, layer settings are reset, and all available layers for the given map are activated ...... I hope this doesn't remain a new TSW feature.
PS5 Pro AI Conductor Mode - settings When launching TSW7, the AI Conductor Mode setting resets and always defaults to OFF. I hope this doesn't remain a new TSW feature.
Saved audio settings for announcements still reset to default when restarting the game. This was acknowledged by DTG back when TSW6 was released.
Is anyone else put off by all the features being ON by default? Have to turn them mostly off to get a fun experience. That's as a "veteran" player. I can't imagine how a noob would manage getting two train faults in a row without even knowing what a train fault is let alone how to fix it. If the goal of the "TSW 7" marketing is for new players, throwing a bunch of "advanced" features at them seems like a bad idea. I'd suggest having most of them "off" by default and then advertise the more advanced features as just that... options or more advanced players. One guy had two train faults, a detour, changing weather conditions and had to deal with how to use the AI Conductor in their first couple runs. That would have been a nightmare when I first tried the game and I'm not sure I'd have stayed long enough with such a steep learning curve. As I said, most new player wouldn't even know they were even features, they might have assumed they were game bugs.
This could easily be implemented as part of a couple off initial screens that players see the first time they boot up TSW. Like you get with AAA games that present you with options to play as "story mode", "hard" etc.... TSW7 could have a couple of pages at the very start explaining TSR, Faults, Safety Systems, Weather etc... with appropriate sliders for ON/OFF. Users could THEN be told these options can be changed at any time in the game settings. This way new players understand to some degree what to expect from the outset, based on what they have chosen.
dtg_jan Hi Jan I'm on xbox x and I'm having really bad lagging in the route screen takes a while to load image. Had two CTD on the home screen . And there has been so much blurry textures. Also its not saving my layering selection.
This was not the case before yesterday's update. The update itself caused this enlarged distance display. Vor dem gestrigen Update war das nicht der Fall. Das Update selbst hat diese vergrößerte Distanzanzeige verursacht.
Isn't that changeable in the options? I thought it was, but I'm at work at the moment and can't check. I know there are customizable options for the "HUD" items.
Steam Deck: If you press RB/LB in the pause menu it moves across 2 tabs instead of 1...you have to use the touchscreen to select the ones it skips over.
The conductor mode when you turn it on when you launch again it says it’s off and also the DLC layer when deselect some of the DLC layers, launch a game again and it’s all been turned back on Need a fix for this
The scenario on the training center where you have to build a dosto consist with the BR 146 has a few issues: - At the start it says board the BR 143, where its actually a 146 - No audible alarm sounds for SIFA - Acknowledging the SIFA indicator with the controller (circle) doesn't work. Playing on PS5.
As others have said, the AI conductor buzzer when ready to depart is only a single buzz. In addition, on the Riviera 150 (the only one I’ve driven so far) the conductors buzzer is a completely different sound in the cab to when the driver buzzes back. This doesn’t sound correct, although I’m happy to be corrected. PS5
It's so annoying to play right now on PS5 because of the settings not being saved, in particular the AI conductor setting is always defaulted to off and the layers are always defaulted to be all turned on when starting the game. It needs to be fixed asap because disabling layers is the only way to avoid memory issues on consoles and I don't want to have to do that every single time I start the game. I mean, these issues with the settings defaulting themselves when restarting the game have been on TSW forever here and there and it's so annoying! Not to mention the Mini HUD doesn't show the distance slider anymore. Not the loading passengers slider, just the distance slider, which is also kind of annoying. And yes, I have played with the settings, it doesn't make a difference no matter what I choose. The Mini HUD distance slider has completely vanished.
Totally agree with this. I’m realistic about the level of performance etc. we can expect on consoles for what is a very demanding game. But quality of life things like this still not being fixed from previous versions, or being updated and made worse, are tremendously irritating.
Class 801 (ECML), timetable mode, Xbox X. Safety systems on by default in game settings but still have to manually turn on AWS and ETCS dials in cab, for AWS to work and it to register as safety systems on.
I quite like the music. I think I've lost the controller vibration settings. Anyone else get that too?
The various conductor modes are misnamed, IMHO. "Realistic" should mean all stock, all the way back to GWE and RT where the driver has no involvement with door closing. Instead, you have to select the always mode for that to work. Always should be if you want the game to take care of door operations regardless of who's responsibility it is.
Steam - With the security systems enabled by default in the settings, the Class 484 always has its system disabled. On the other hand, one positive point: I love the fast loading after the service ends; it doesn't even take 2 seconds. Great work, DTG!
Give us back the barber pole for distance to objective please. Having the distance in numbers kills my immersion.
The yellow text on the minimum HUD is so intrusive that I am considering going back to TSW6 until it is fixed. I haven't noticed any other issues and the game seems to perform very well, but I haven't played much because of how annoying the HUD is.
On the Great Western Express (High Speed Train) opening the left hand doors with open the right side too. When closing I've noticed a single door on the right side remaining open. Happened on several runs.
I posted elsewhere I didn't like the music, but I think it's because it's much more of a slow burner this time round. Takes around 90-120 seconds for it to get "going" and it's not very often I'm on the menu screens that long so don't really hear the best bits of it. That said, each year when a new version comes out I always think "nah, not as good as last years" and then it grows on me and the previous years is almost instantly forgotten about.
In the West Cornwall local route - on the 2nd training module - as you leave on platform 2 after changing ends, the train seems to hit an invisible barrier and stops abruptly. Unable to continue from here. Unable to reverse and try again at the invisible hill?
The part where it 'gets going' is where I tune out. I love the slow part. Different strokes and all that.
Loading in from a save game overwrites the already enabled safety systems. Xbox Series X. Two-pronged issue I suppose. The new auto-safety systems settings are great, I’ve enabled them such that LZB and PZB are on, but SIFA is not. On older content, SIFA does still become automatically enabled, and I assume this is a limitation of the new features not being back-ported to older stock. So then, I saved the game whilst driving a BR403 on Frankfurt S-Bahn. In this save, I had disabled SIFA. When I loaded back in, SIFA had become re-enabled, with the auto-safety systems setting seemingly overwriting the saved state of the safety systems.
It is a bit 'eye catching' isn't it. I find myself glancing up, thinking I have a warning of some kind, but it's just the text being so in your face. Bit of a migraine inducer, as, once you look at it, you can't stop glancing at it. Yep, I'm with you on this one.
I wonder why more of these changes aren't opened up to the forum or more actual comment before they're implemented then rolled back. Seems like showing us what they had in the works before full implementation would be a lot less work overall.
That could explain why I couldn't get my HST to take power when I tried this route an hour ago! I ended up having to turn off Automatic Safety systems and the AI Guard mode and restarting the service before the darn thing would move!
PC No passengers at all on GWE remastered has happened twice now. Passengers on ECML appear on mass as a large blob at the end of the platform at Grantham. Occasionally, clicking on a route does nothing. You have to back a few steps and try again. Whoever signed off on the UI and general colour scheme needs to have a serious look at themselves and ask if they did a good job.
Tested on PC prior to 16th update. 1) With the Safety system and all it's options enabled, none appear to be enabled if you go back and replay any training modules for the route and/or locos. While this obviously doesn't affect seasoned players, it isn't ideal for new players who know about, and want better immersion by enabling safety systems. It of course also affects the scoring system, of which many people want to achieve a 'Platinum' medal. 2) Mentioned on Matt's stream, please could you code the 'mouse back' button (which exists on almost all of todays mice) to execute the same as pressing the 'ESC' key. Maybe even add the 'mouse forward' button to return to where you where. While navigating around all the clickable 'menus' with a mouse, it then makes it very frustrating having to reach for the keyboard 'ESC' key or move the mouse cursor to bottom left, just to go back a menu. Alternatively, add it as a configurable keyboard key option, because you currently can't change the 'ESC' key. 3) Also mentioned on Matt's stream, If Bidstack isn't being used for in game advertising, then please remove "bidstack-cpp-sdk.dll" and folder from here: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 7\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Plugins\BidstackSDK\ThirdParty\Bidstack\Libraries\Win64 Other than this, it's obviously your best game version release, not so much for the routes though.
Seies X. Text in the ui could do with being a little darker, easier to read, still got some blurry textures.Preferences dont seem to save after playing. The controller is either very sluggish, like moving in syrup,or skittish. Hopefully can be fixed in an update,i know it doent bother the devs but i wont be playing until it gets fixed or looked at. Apart from that,it just seems like another TSW.
PC Guard duty/conductor mode - I've not tried it before but its definitely got a couple issues in TSW 7 When checking a passengers ticket, the passenger is spawned inside another passenger inside the same seat Also, when you check the ticket the current route info on the left of the screen is almost illegible due to low contrast
Now that TSW7 has released I have noticed and I've re-downloaded all my pre-TSW7 DLCs, I have noticed a few more things. 1) I noticed on the rescue scenario on Tri-Rail (I forget the name of the scenario), that the leaves of the palm trees sway violently in the 'wind' whilst the trunk stays perfectly still (it's clear they aren't connected) 2) On the "Wagon Trouble" scenario for Airedale & Wharfdale, at the start of the scenario, I tend to have a little issue starting to move the train on the incline. The Class 66 keeps wheelslipping and the sand stick does nothing to help. 3) A TSW "Classic" now - After re-downloaded 50+ DLCs on to TSW7, blurry texture are now more common 4) This isn't an issue per say but I've noticed that the TSW7 version of East Coastway isn't on the Xbox Store. The most recent version is for TSW6. 5) I've noticed the fast camera feature isn't avaliable for the 'Classic' camera mode Xbox Series S (These were noticed before and after the recent updates)
for me on PC- Steam try this. Put the reverser into forward, release the automatic brake, then apply the direct brake and put the throttle into notch 3. Let it build up until the train starts to move, then release the direct brake. You should then be able to pull away without any problems.
On Xbox SX - Saving the amount of layers you want to use on a route resets to full layers again once you restart the game. Please fix this soon!
