Route Schnellfahrstrecke Nürnberg - Ingolstadt - Feedback Thread

Not even DTG seems to know. This was shared on Discord recently:

 

I was curious about the BR442 as well and took a look, but it seems there wasn't a patch for it; nothing has changed

 

i asked matt during the stream yesterday and he said it should be part of update 1, so hopefully that happens

 

Thanks for acknowlodging this. However, this is still a big mystery for me, I must admit. Even though you guys have tried to explain the patch process many times before, its still not really clear (at least to me), why this can not be more precise and why there are so many unknowns around this... Clearly DTG must be able to give some guidance and priorities?!

Anyway, off topic, I know... no need to answer here, I suppose. Maybe something that can be explained somewhere more appropriate again (next Roadmap stream, maybe?!).

 

Can anyone confirm if this bug is noted and will or will not be fixed? I just started a new service at 6pm on the 19th of September, my first service in TSW 7 where I wanted to see the lighting while the sun was low, but it's already completely dark outside. The sun is already setting at around 5pm. That's highly immersion breaking in my opinion, especially when route hopping to continue the same service in the same conditions. DTG Matt

 

This route is almost blur-free. When driving the expert 101, some light blurring around Ingolstadt Nord, which is gone by the time I reach Ingolstadt Hbf. This area seems particularly taxing on the texture pool. Playing on PS5 with all layers active.

 

Can someone check if this speed sign in the Nurnberg was fixed? I can't play for a few days now. In some "patch preview stream" there was still bugged "10" number, but it is few days ago, so there is a chance it was fixed.

 

At km 98,8, the Lf7 signal still says 10 for the regelgleis and 13 for the gegengleis. So nope, looks like it hasn't been fixed yet.

 

For Nürnberg Hbf, Esig A (Entrance signal coming from Ingolstadt) still has the problem by showing a Hp0 aspect, even though the map shows it as a Sh1. So this bug has not been fixed either

 

I really don't get that. There were many world fixes on that route, but changing one number is a problem. I really think there were never any of the wrong speed signs in the German content fixed.

 

Well , I thought that the new timetable would be interesting, but it only adds 8 services for the ICE4 , I get that it's still set in 2017-18 but wouldn't have been better to make a new timetable that linked to the 2026 one that we have with Wurzburg - Nurnberg ?

 

There were no new services actually added. It just seems to substitute for the ICE1 services that were already there. Which could be realistic!?
Even more interesting is that they added the 442 from Nürnberg-Wurzburg to replace the dreaded 442 from Köln-Aachen.

 

It actually changes the Allersberg Express as well In the default timetable the RE9 is operated with Br 111, N-Wagen and the Wittenberger Kopf cab car.

In the ICE 4-timetable Allersberg Express is operated by Br 101 and MüNex-cars in a sandwich formation.

 

The problems that were actually fixed were a bit more important than 1 wrong sign, imo

 

This was actually a change that happened at some point in time IRL.

 

Yes, more cars on the autobahn is definitely more important than some random speed sign in the train simulator.

 

While I appreciate adding the ICE 4 to this route, was any QC actually done for this? The Enhanced ICE4 timetable, with the ICE 4 selected, is currently showing the description as "ICE 3" for the train you drive, and it's also showing the routes I had previously completed on the ICE 3 as completed for the ICE 4. Was the "Enhanced" Timetable literally just a copy + paste of the regular timetable?

Another thing I noticed, and which supports my theory that they just copy + pasted the original timetable for this "Enhanced" (sorry, I can't resist using quotations for the irony of the name) timetable is that the year is defaulting to 2017, like the regular timetable, even though ICE 4 didn't actually enter service until December 2017 (unless we're saying these are trial services).

 

I really appreciate the few substitutions in the timetable, but I think that it would have been a better choice to make a whole new timetable set in 2026 , in a way that it would've linked with the one from wurzburg-nurnberg. It just gives low effort vibes.

 

very underwhelming update, still a lot of work to be done. multiple tunnels are really poorly light baked, there is still a 130 limit with a 100 sign, the timetable is just a carbon copy, when a 2026 one would have been much better

 

Alright, so this might actually be a me-problem. I'm gonna be honest and say I didn't test it throughly yesterday. I spawned a train outside of the signal and set a path to track 13. That gave me a Hp0 on the signal and a Sh1 on the map.
This morning I took the Allersberg Express out for a spin again (Love it, the 101 Sandwhich formation behaves more like a rocket than a train. Gotta be real careful on the throttle) and when I got back to Nürnberg, the same signal gave me a Hp2 (One green and one yellow). So it might actually have been fixed.
