Hi everyone, I saw on the Train Sim World 7 FAQ page that it says: “No, Train Sim World 7 will not be playable via GeForce Now at launch, but we are exploring the possibility of adding this option sometime after launch.” Asking cautiously, are we talking weeks or months until TSW7 comes to GeForce NOW?
I watched the livestream and was excited to see the Airedale/Wharfedale line, the Florida content, and the NTP remaster. Also noted AI content at Keighley, which may well mean steam locos puffing away there as you pass through. Steam Cloud support is also something I've been hoping for. But I was gutted to see that the FAQ notes that TSW7 won't be on GeForce Now at launch, so I'll be unable to enjoy any of this! Please, Dovetail, don't leave those of us who buy your content to stream via GFN waiting for too long. I realise it must take work to set things up and maintain them there, but it's a wonderful platform for the game (and many of us don't have hardware capable of running it in reasonable quality otherwise).
Hey folks, I have asked for clarification on this, but my personal guesstimate would be a few months for the wait. I don't know if that is correct; I am just setting expectations based on the timing it took for TSW6.
hi im also very dissappointed with dovetail regarding lack of geforce now support for tsw7. i moved away from xbox due to blurred texture after spending 0ver £1000 on DLC and reinvested in same content on the geforce now platform Pre-ordered tsw 7 delux only to find out dovetail havent considered our investment worthy of support. Do dovetail not have the same loyalty as their customers have with dovetail. #icant even switch platforms as the games have to repurchased again I love my train sim world games but #i cant keep swapping and changing between platforms its just too costly Anything you can do to cheer me up would be helpful Kind regards
Yes, this is so disappointing, as it is such a great platform to play Train Sim on. TSW 6 was available at launch if I remember correctly, so not holding out much hope it will be added. Can Dovetail provide any rationale for not adding it to GeForce Now? Does it not have the player base?
A shame really, means I'm going to have to lug my desktop to my TV when I dont want to sit at my desk playing in the meantime. but it's by no means the end of the world to do until I can play via Geforce Now
Unfortunately my desktop can barely run TSW (it's a lovely fanless PC running Linux Mint, but as being silent is its key feature, it only has onboard graphics). It runs GeForce Now beautifully on the Ultimate sub, though. Good to see Candace's comment above, though. Fingers crossed!
That is a positive sign! The article seems to imply it’ll be available from release, hopefully we can get some official confirmation of this. https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-september-2026-games-list/
Agree, a really positive sign and follows last year announcement too https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/geforce-now-thursday-oct-2025/? where it was announced a week or two before
Yay! Sometimes we are sent full updates, but I have been out, for a US Holiday. I just know TSW6 took a little time to fully integrated, so I wanted to set that expectation. But yeah, looks like all the hiccups are out of the way and everyone will get it on release!
I'm fed up of the console issues and would happily switch to GFN. But the Xbox PC version hasn't been made available on GFN & I'm not willing to repurchase the game & all my DLCs in Steam.
Could you please clarify what you mean by “on release”? Do you mean Advanced Access on September 10, or the full release on September 15? NVIDIA’s GFN Thursday post specifically lists Train Sim World 7 – Advanced Access, but two days later the game is still unavailable on GeForce NOW. I bought the Deluxe Edition specifically for Advanced Access, so will it become available before the full release?
I'd actually missed that on Thursday, it wasn't in their reddit version of the post, but you're right, it's there on the web version: Still, it wouldn't be the first time that GFN has announced something with the release date, and it's taken a while to actually get it onboarded. Like you, I have Deluxe Edition and have been eagerly clicking GeForce Now in hope. Not the end of the world if we don't get it before next week, but it would be nice.
I am so sorry I was out for the weekend, my understanding is on GEForce now it will unlock on the 15th, but if anyone sees anything different let me know.
I've been testing TSW6 with the free version of GeForce NOW, but I was having stuttering issues due to the shader cache. Does the paid version have the same problem?
The paid version freezes very briefly every now and then on GFN Ultimate while you drive, which I've seen attributed to the shader cache issue. I've got used to it, so it doesn't really bother me, but it may bother you! However, since my alternative is having TSW running like dripping molasses on my desktop machine, GFN's benefits vastly outweigh that negative. The graphics look fabulous, and apart from that occasional stutter, it runs very smoothly on the routes I enjoy.
To be absolutely clear, Nvidia have yet to confirm the go live date for GeForce Now. Therefore, the statement on the FAQ remains true. On Nvidia's own blog, they also include a disclaimer under the listed dates: "Dates listed above reflect when games are released on their respective stores. GeForce NOW availability may vary, as games are onboarded after release and added throughout the week. Keep an eye on GeForce NOW channels and GFN Thursdays for availability updates on announced titles"
So it is 15th and Game is fully released on all plattforms... without Geforce Now. 10th and 15th were incorrect. So my laptop is not fast enough, i think to refund the game. i want to play on gerfoce no like the other two years...
Still not available on Geforce Now at 18:20. It feels disappointing to not be able to experience the game on launch. How has this not been sorted beforehand ready for launch?
Disappointing... but think how all those other players are finding the critical bugs for us before we play! (Silver lining, etc...)
Don't, as the dates shown on the Geforce website are the release date of the games and not when it will be added. Train Sim World 7 will probably be on Geforce somewhere this week.
Sorry folks, we’re still waiting on updates on our end. As soon as we do have an update I will let you know. Adding in a note from yesterday: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...m-world-7-launch-feedback.99541/#post-1149753
The train now standing at platform 4... (Please don't say cancelled, please don't say cancelled, please don't say cancelled...)
I hope not The GFN thursday did say it will be streaming 'this week' so I think we all just need to be patient (even if it is annoying)
It's now September 22, a week after the full release, and Train Sim World 7 still isn't available on GeForce NOW. I bought the Deluxe Edition for Advanced Access, but I still haven't been able to play it through GFN. Could someone from DTG please share an update? Do you have an estimated date, or even an idea of whether we're looking at days, weeks, or months?
So it's time to ask for a refund. In this case, it's going to be months, not weeks. I only used GeForce NOW for this game, and since it's not listed/supported, I'm saving a nice 70 euros for now.
…”Resolving the issue requires collaboration with the publisher…”. Oh boy, this could take awhile. They are too busy with patching!
Given that their primary market is consoles and PC, GeForce Now is unlikely to be a priority for them. This indicates it will be a protracted struggle. Luckily, Steam has paid me back already."
To the DTG team: On September 8, a DTG staff member told us Train Sim World 7 would be available on GeForce NOW “on release.” On September 14, we were told the understanding was that it would unlock on September 15. I bought the Deluxe Edition for Advanced Access and expected to be able to play through GFN by the full release at the latest. Instead, on launch day we learned that NVIDIA had never confirmed a go-live date. The following day, we were told DTG was still waiting for updates. NVIDIA also listed TSW7 among the games expected to stream during the week of September 17. That week has passed, and I still cannot play the game I bought. I understand that a technical issue was found during testing and that DTG and NVIDIA are working together. But it is not acceptable to set an expectation of launch-day availability and then leave customers waiting indefinitely without a timeframe. Please treat this as a priority and work with NVIDIA to make the game available as soon as possible. Can you give us a target date or at least a realistic time range, explain what is still blocking the launch, and tell us when the next update will be posted? If TSW7 cannot be made available on GeForce NOW soon and there is still no credible timeframe, I will request a refund for my Deluxe Edition through Steam.
I think we'd all appreciate some guidance from Dovetail before Tuesday 29th September, when the Steam refund window closes. Otherwise, we've paid a hefty chunk of money for a game that we might not be able to play for some time.
DTG Matt Is there any chance someone from Dovetail could provide a bit more transparency regarding the current status of TSW 7 becoming available on GeForce NOW? • What specifically is the issue preventing TSW7 from being published and made available on GeForce NOW, beyond simply referring to it as an “integration” issue? Looking for a technical answer here. • What work has Dovetail and/or NVIDIA already done to resolve the issue, and where do things currently stand? • Is there a rough timeframe or any indication of when TSW7 could become available on GeForce NOW? • Is this issue currently a priority for the team? If not, is there any indication of where it sits among the team’s other priorities? I’d naturally assume a new launch has the team focused on a lot of other tasks, which is why I’d like to get a better understanding of where this currently stands. I also completely understand that some details may not be possible to share, but even a general update would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Good afternoon folks, This issue is still being looked into by Nvidia and us. Unfortunately, we currently don't have an exact date for when this might be resolved. Please make sure to keep an eye on our channels; we will share news on this when we have more to report. Just to reiterate what was shared in our FAQs: Will Train Sim World 7 be available to play via GeForce Now? No, Train Sim World 7 will not be playable via GeForce Now at launch, but we are exploring the possibility of adding this option sometime after launch. All the best, Jan
Jan, I appreciate your commenting here, but just reiterating what has already been said in the thread isn't helpful. I am (like presumably most of us here) not expecting an exact date, but it must surely be possible to answer the key questions posed above, namely: Is this a priority for Dovetail right now? (We can fully understand if it isn't.) Does it look like an issue that will take some time to resolve? Specifically, is it looking unlikely by Tuesday next week?
