So, I tried to open the Steam Desktop app this morning to see if any new scenarios were published, but the desktop client was not opening (found it weird). Then decided to open TSC via my Railworks64 shortcut and was able to play for a couple hours. But now that I exited and came back, the game completely crashes as soon as I try and open the game, giving me an “Out of Memory” 0xC005 Fatal Error during update within Windows Manager. Anyone else experiencing this? And does anyone have any suggestions? One note that as I'm posting this: just ended Steam via Task Manager and it (desktop client) opens fine, but still receiving game crash.
Update: After verifying my files twice once before launch, and again after said launch still crashed upon opening at the "updating scenario database" stage, I deleted the SDBCache.bin files in the Routes folder. Which, while allowing me to return to the game and play, now shows all/majority of my scenarios as not complete (missing medals and checkmarks). So...what was I actually supposed to do? Because I'm now sure that was not it. Also, should I have posted this in Gen as opposed to technical issues?
