Surely with all the improvements to the game and pc hardware in the past years, maybe it’s time the unreleased full timetable for New York Trenton including freight services, gets released as a third timetable option. It could even be labeled “experimental” to waive any performance expectations. The work is already done. The files are probably just sitting on someone’s computer at DTG, I highly doubt they’d delete it. Alternatively, DTG could release the a timetable .pak file as an unofficial mod.
What freight timetable is actually originally part of NYT? I ask because in real life, there is barely any freight on NEC through NJ that isn’t Amtrak or NJT maintenance related. Maybe a route or two a month if that. To my knowledge, all freight in the central part of NJ runs through a combo of the CNJ and Lehigh Valley tracks since the Linden yard has pretty much fully closed up. So I’m curious what freight was supposed to be included originally since it doesn’t exist.

Unless there's gonna be some sort of remaster or another update to Trenton, chances of seeing freight on this route, even on TSW7 and onwards, might as well be a pipe dream, as I highly doubt this will pretty much happen, even in its current state.
the whole route needs repairing from the ground up. the timetable is fine but the signalling is broken, some of the lighting isn’t the best and it doesn’t have any core features from the last few years, only guard mode i believe
I agree with what all of you are saying, but these are things that will take a lot of work and time to complete. What I’m emphasizing with this timetable is that the work is already done. It’s just not released yet.
DTG got Liam to give WCMLS revamp after it's absolutely appalling release... As far as I'm aware only parts of Liams work were ever implemented and the scenery wasn't updated as promised... So I fear this would probably be the same scenario.
Maybe it's time for DTG to do everything themselves? Instead of offloading the work to a bunch of studios—only for nothing to actually get done and bugs to be everywhere.
NYT is definitely in need of a revamp, especially since the portion from the Hudson river tubes to Newark International Airport is basically from TSW2020. Since this is one of the early TSW3 Tod4 routes, most scenery items are beginning to show it's age. This route does not look good at night with DLAA and in the daytime, the catenary wire with DLAA does not look as crisp as TAA
