Some 508s with this would be super welcome since they were leased to be used on both the Sheerness branch and the MVL, but I do get that it would be significantly more work to either build a 508 from scratch or modify DTGs 313 model.

Sounds interesting but I'd rather see a 508 come woth a Merseyside routes.

I'd be so stoked if AP got their 411 into TSW, such a nice unit to drive.

Beyond providing some soundsets a few years ago, AP don’t seem particularly interested in TSW.

I can't blame them too much, they seem to like doing self distribution and TSW pretty much demands working with DTG and Steam.

For all of its faults, I always really liked the 313s run sounds, and have always thought they were some of the best out there. It’s something I’ve only ever seen Armstrong Powerhouse get right with there mastery of sound recording. If Firefly are going to be focused on the Southeastern region that would make me very happy!

Of all the backdated units for South Eastern, I'd much prefer some slam-door action.
I'd hate to sound sniffy about it but I can't stand the PEP units. I had the misfortune of traveling from Colchester to London on one back when some powdery snow put most of the Class 321 fleet out of action for a couple of days back in Jan/Feb 1991.

I have recently visited this line and don't think it's that of a fun and very scenic route. 20 min drive, most patterns differ in stops, basically some don't stop at Swale, and nowadays they run Class 375/3s. It is included in one of the CMLs in TSC, if interested someone could try to play that in a quick play to have a preview.
I am looking forward to Class 466 though.

I really want to see more BR built units in general, some thumpers perhaps.

I'm dreaming here as it would never happen...

But hypothetically if we are talking of historic units, for me it would have to be the 2EPBs (both BR & Southern Railway design) on a branch line like this. I find the PEP design a bit boring (personal opinion)... So something with a bit of personality and purely functional looks like an EPB wouldn't be a bad thing!

Let's see if this appears in the 0-3 months section of next week's roadmap :)

Hopefully we won't be waiting too long, maybe before Christmas? That would be nice.

Hopefully we may get some visual teasers in this week's roadmap... I can't remember if that'll be on Tuesday or Wednesday?

Nice to see new photos on the roadmap. 466 looks fantastic. So does the route.

Is anybody remotely surprised. These guys are my favourite third party dev for good reason. Their work is simply outstanding.

I hope they will either bring out a good South Western route one day, or backdate Medway with CEPs.

Really glad we got some screen shots in this roadmap... The 466 is looking very good so far! Brings back memories of riding the 466 the Bromley North 'popper' to get to work at Modelzone in Bromley in 2013!

The progress is looking really good as are the custom assets. I can see this being one of those routes that in my top 3... Medway Valley has already taken first place for feeling multidimensional compared to any other route in the game! And that was Fireflys first ever route... What a way to set a benchmark!

I'm curious to know where the new sounds will be sourced from and seeing how they sound compared to the 465/9 in the game already which has really good audio.

Looking really good - the article mentioned the doors (specifically the windows on them) being remodelled to match the original design still used on the 466s - I presume these screenshots predate that?

These screenshots are ancient to be honest, and only really bare a passing resemblance to the current state of the route and unit.

Jesus Christ you could have honestly fooled me!

One has to wonder what the current build looks like if these were old screenshots that have since become outdated... Sounding phenomenal already!

I know my last post was a bit of a moan about the current state of TSW7 on console but honestly can't wait for this route. I remember filling in a DTG survey a few years ago and suggesting this not thinking it would ever see the light of day so really glad to see it finally coming!

And….Firefly hinted at this purely being to keep the lights on. Something bigger and equally as stunning is along the way it may seem one day. Honestly it’ll be another day one purchase

Hope they make more longer lines like the Chatham Mainline or Southeastern Mainline or maybe more Southern and Southwestern lines

Yeah and hopefully a more backdated one with 508s or even older slam door units as mentioned above

London Waterloo to Weymouth in the early 2000's? With a Class 442, 444 and 450's?

Wouldn’t that be the dream. I mean I couldn’t see beyond Southampton, if that, but chuck in a 455 for the locals and what a winner

I’d swap that though for REP’s, TC’s and a 33/1 plus VEP’s on the stoppers. Deluxe train would then be a SUB or EPB for the inner suburban services. :)

To be fair it's more a loco train with short route attached, and also provides a new 466 timetable for Medway Valley. (with the 3 car 375 also getting a timetable here)

Hopefully this will come by December but realistically it’s probably going to be a January/february release. Still would rather wait than get something incomplete

If we ever do that type of operation modelled say Weymouth - Basingstoke with the swapping of TCs and REPs with 33s, I think DTG would be laughing all the way to the bank, and rightly so

I'd love Firefly to have a crack at a Network SouthEast line set in the early 90s, it's a big colourful void in TSW, and a nice CEP or EPB or both trundling along with all the immersion that comes with the era, it would be absolutely stunning.

I love their work, I am just getting slight Electrostar fatigue.
