Not even DTG seems to know. This was shared on Discord recently:

I was curious about the BR442 as well and took a look, but it seems there wasn't a patch for it; nothing has changed

That's unfortunately the nature of how patches are being built, especially those with shorter run-up time. However, as we have said, this will hopefully be part of one of the upcoming patches. Just not necessarily the next one.

Thanks for acknowlodging this. However, this is still a big mystery for me, I must admit. Even though you guys have tried to explain the patch process many times before, its still not really clear (at least to me), why this can not be more precise and why there are so many unknowns around this... Clearly DTG must be able to give some guidance and priorities?!

Anyway, off topic, I know... no need to answer here, I suppose. Maybe something that can be explained somewhere more appropriate again (next Roadmap stream, maybe?!).

Can anyone confirm if this bug is noted and will or will not be fixed? I just started a new service at 6pm on the 19th of September, my first service in TSW 7 where I wanted to see the lighting while the sun was low, but it's already completely dark outside. The sun is already setting at around 5pm. That's highly immersion breaking in my opinion, especially when route hopping to continue the same service in the same conditions. DTG Matt

This route is almost blur-free. When driving the expert 101, some light blurring around Ingolstadt Nord, which is gone by the time I reach Ingolstadt Hbf. This area seems particularly taxing on the texture pool. Playing on PS5 with all layers active.

Can someone check if this speed sign in the Nurnberg was fixed? I can't play for a few days now. In some "patch preview stream" there was still bugged "10" number, but it is few days ago, so there is a chance it was fixed.

At km 98,8, the Lf7 signal still says 10 for the regelgleis and 13 for the gegengleis. So nope, looks like it hasn't been fixed yet.

For Nürnberg Hbf, Esig A (Entrance signal coming from Ingolstadt) still has the problem by showing a Hp0 aspect, even though the map shows it as a Sh1. So this bug has not been fixed either

I really don't get that. There were many world fixes on that route, but changing one number is a problem. I really think there were never any of the wrong speed signs in the German content fixed.

Well , I thought that the new timetable would be interesting, but it only adds 8 services for the ICE4 , I get that it's still set in 2017-18 but wouldn't have been better to make a new timetable that linked to the 2026 one that we have with Wurzburg - Nurnberg ?

There were no new services actually added. It just seems to substitute for the ICE1 services that were already there. Which could be realistic!?
Even more interesting is that they added the 442 from Nürnberg-Wurzburg to replace the dreaded 442 from Köln-Aachen.

It actually changes the Allersberg Express as well :) In the default timetable the RE9 is operated with Br 111, N-Wagen and the Wittenberger Kopf cab car.

In the ICE 4-timetable Allersberg Express is operated by Br 101 and MüNex-cars in a sandwich formation.

The problems that were actually fixed were a bit more important than 1 wrong sign, imo

This was actually a change that happened at some point in time IRL.

Yes, more cars on the autobahn is definitely more important than some random speed sign in the train simulator.

While I appreciate adding the ICE 4 to this route, was any QC actually done for this? The Enhanced ICE4 timetable, with the ICE 4 selected, is currently showing the description as "ICE 3" for the train you drive, and it's also showing the routes I had previously completed on the ICE 3 as completed for the ICE 4. Was the "Enhanced" Timetable literally just a copy + paste of the regular timetable? upload_2026-9-23_12-16-49.png

Another thing I noticed, and which supports my theory that they just copy + pasted the original timetable for this "Enhanced" (sorry, I can't resist using quotations for the irony of the name) timetable is that the year is defaulting to 2017, like the regular timetable, even though ICE 4 didn't actually enter service until December 2017 (unless we're saying these are trial services).

I really appreciate the few substitutions in the timetable, but I think that it would have been a better choice to make a whole new timetable set in 2026 , in a way that it would've linked with the one from wurzburg-nurnberg. It just gives low effort vibes.

very underwhelming update, still a lot of work to be done. multiple tunnels are really poorly light baked, there is still a 130 limit with a 100 sign, the timetable is just a carbon copy, when a 2026 one would have been much better

Alright, so this might actually be a me-problem. I'm gonna be honest and say I didn't test it throughly yesterday. I spawned a train outside of the signal and set a path to track 13. That gave me a Hp0 on the signal and a Sh1 on the map.
This morning I took the Allersberg Express out for a spin again (Love it, the 101 Sandwhich formation behaves more like a rocket than a train. Gotta be real careful on the throttle) and when I got back to Nürnberg, the same signal gave me a Hp2 (One green and one yellow). So it might actually have been fixed.

Since there's no dedicated discussion thread for ICE4, I'm posting here to give some feedback—this train still has a lot of issues. Please at least fix the LZB problem shown in the picture, below; it really ruins the experience of riding ICE4 on high-speed lines . upload_2026-9-26_18-19-58.jpeg

Yes. I had this too. SIFA gives you a penalty brake. I resolved this by starting the scenario in non-expert mode and activating the safety systems manually. Then it works as it should.

(This was in TSW 6, so don't know if and how the 'default activate safety systems' setting impacts this in TSW 7).

I'm gonna try that now and see how i get on. Just tried and still no joy its the B button on controller not acknowledging the sifa pedal. Just doesn't work.

Funny cause I actually like the way the way LZB/AFB on the ICE4 soooo much more than the ICE3 that comes with the route. The ICE3 AFB is terrible at handling the incline changes, while the ICE4 seemed to be responding crisply and alarms never go off or show up on the MFD, and I never have to manually brake with AFB on in LZB zones. Granted I've heard having to manually brake on inclines in ICE trains is realistic but from a gameplay perspective at least, real or not real for the ICE4, it's so much more enjoyable for me to drive on this route.

hether it's handling slopes or decelerating, the LZB/AFB systems in the BR406 and ICE1 trains from previous generations have struck a pretty good balance between gameplay and realism, no manual intervention needed. Plus, they've got precise speed control, smooth power output, and braking. I'm puzzled why the more advanced ICE4 has lost all these perks, and instead has this quirk: it directly automatic locks the AFB below 232km/h when it detects a speed limit ahead while cruising at high speeds,no matter how far you are from the speed limit.

The new timetable doesn't show any arrival or departure times at the stops.

On a more lighthearted note, here's a very very mild issue:

Every service I have attempted has had some glitch or another. Safety systems don't seem to work consistently or are incorrect in their implementation, the door locks on a service, but the next objective doesn't appear and the lock doors objective remains, etc. I am really not happy with this so far. I will continue trying new services. Maybe I just picked the broken ones. . .

I have now gotten a couple services that - more or less - work, but they both had problems with the lock doors issue I mentioned previously. One was running the BR 101 Expert for the regional stopping service starting at Nürnberg. I made it to Ingolstadt Nord and the issue occurred there. I had made it to the stop on time ( within a few seconds) but then had to get the lock doors issue to resolve. I ended up having to back the train a few meters the go back to the stopping point (best I could figure it) and reopen and re-close the doors. Then was able to complete the run into Ingolstadt. It was annoying, but only lost the timeliness bonus at Ingolstadt. . This should really be resolved as soon as possible. I will consider sending a support request.

I was driving the Allersberg Express services with top and tailed expert 101 locos on the ICE 4 timetable. I noticed the following:
    1. Multiple unit working was not set up for top and tail working, so the rear loco didn't provide traction. I had to walk all the way to the rear loco to set this up (or: is it prototypical for this service for the rear loco not to be providing traction at all and is it only there for quick turnarounds with LZB working in both directions?).
    2. The max speed is set to 140 kph. This was correct for the old setup (with the 111 and cab car), but is it for this setup? Shouldn't it be 200?
    3. The services have no target arrival time.
    Edit: playing on PS5.

I do not know about you guys but this route has on my side much higher GPU power consumption compared with Nürnberg-Würzburg and is not because the BR412 is travelling at 265 km/h. There are many areas when my RTX5090 goes to 99% and power draw above 500W. Settings are on Epic, it is an 5090 after all, but on Nürnberg-Würzburg it does not go to 99% and the power draw is usually in the 300W zone. Fps are limited with Riva Tuner to 60 and in Nvidia settings GPU is set to Normal, not to High Performance. I tried to reduce the settings from Epic to Ultra or High, no significant change really (because I expect some of you will say to reduce them and they are too high).
