Has Something Happened To Dpsimulation

Hi, has something happened to DPSimulation as the site is now down? Is it temporary or is that it?

Doesn't look good. "dpsimulation.org.uk" is showing "Site Suspended"

 

It might be a bit premature, but this has the feeling of the start of the inevitable decline in TSC infrastructure.

I wonder how long it will be before the payware developers start to go?

I know of a couple who haven't gone, but who have stopped producing new content.

 

Yes, as more and more people move away to TSW and only the die-hards remain, this seems inevitable.

 

Darren doesn't seem to bother with TSC anymore. For that reason, maybe the payments to the hosting website have not been paid. Just guessing.

 

He certainly produced some excellent routes and assets for TSC (B2E and Cresston had a great feel to them) as well as many others. I did wonder if he just got bored of TSC and moved on to other pastures.

Because the link to his Steam Workshop page has also closed I think Darran has stopped playing TSC.

 

Just noticed today - another one bites the dust!
You might be quite right there that Darren did move on from TSC.
His website did have heavy ads in later years, and it had not been updated for a while now.

 

A shame, but most of their TS stuff was out of date anyways.

 

It was a major source of reskins, especially Richard Fletcher's, which are still popular with scenario creators. Thankfully, it does appear that Wayback Machine has captured the whole site.

 

I go and on the wayback machine and most of the time when I try to download it tells me I am blocked

 

I believe that ATS are in the process of hosting their content

 

That would be great if they do.

 

Alan confirmed it earlier today on the ATS Facebook group that it would be happening over the next few weeks.
