I have a quick question regarding the neutral sections on the Nuremberg – Würzburg route. Should I open the circuit breaker, or simply cut the traction power? This is a significant point for me, even if the developers perhaps didn't account for it.

Aren't there traction signs around the neutral sections? If there are then you do what they say, which is either opening the circuit breaker or lowering the pantograph. Not that the latter exists on a high-speed line.

When trains pass through neutral sections in the real world, they disconnect from one power substation and connect to another one. That's why they have to manually disconnect and then reconnect some distance later.

So, should I actually open the circuit breaker? It’s strange, because there’s no warning sign before the neutral section, which made me hesitate about carrying out such a significant procedure. Is opening the circuit breaker the correct course of action?

On all modern trains, even if you don't manually pull the MCB it will still open automatically when it detects the voltage shutoff.

To the best of my knowledge, modern OHLE doesn't have a physical "snag" that requires actually lowering the panto.

There are no neutral sections on this route. I am assuming you are talking about these signs (Orientierungszeichen Elektrische Streckentrennung):

The signs mark the beginning and end of an electrically separated section of overhead line, through which the train must pass without stopping with its pantograph raised. In case you need to stop your train you need to lower your panto immediately, as it could bridge the electrical separation and connect two otherwise separate overhead-line supply sections. This could cause an electrical fault or damage equipment.
