The Baby Bullet Service 376 timetable is all messed up and impacts greatly on Limited Stop Service 274

I don't know if any other services have been messed up due to the timetable changes for the Baby Bullet DLC as figuring out what's going on with these two trains has taken several hours of gameplay.

Limited Stop service 274 departs San Francisco at 17:32:30
Baby Bullet service 376 departs San Francisco at 17:38:30

376 overtakes 274 at Bayshore, which makes 274 about 4 minutes late arriving at South San Francisco and San Bruno. Here's where the problems get worse...

376 arrives 8 minutes early at Millbrae at around 17:54 instead of its scheduled time of 18:02.

Train 274 catches up and gets held at the red signal 0.9 miles before Millbrae, and arrives at Millbrae at 18:06. Its scheduled arrival time is 17:58 - 4 minutes BEFORE train 376's scheduled arrival. 376 is still waiting in the station at this point.

From here all scheduled times for 274 are 3 minutes before those for the 376 at stations where they both stop, despite the Baby Bullet 376 being in front, occurring first at San Mateo and then Redwood City.

376 arrives at Redwood City a full 10 minutes early at 18:17

Despite 274 now running about 7 minutes late and stopping at many more stops, it catches up again and is held at a red signal at California Avenue.

274's scheduled arrival at Sunnyvale is again 3 minutes before the 376 service in front of it.

Strangely, both services can be completed on time!!!

I hope I explained that well enough...

NB - Service 376 is included in Journey mode for the Baby Bullet DLC. Clearly not tested before its inclusion in Journey mode.

i did that train with baby bullet and had to wait at Redwood for 11mins
and i also did a service with baby bullet where i had to wait for ages on a red where a train behind me overtook.

what is the difference between a limited stop service and the baby bullet service as i see no difference

Limited Stop services usually stop at more than twice as many stations as a Baby Bullet.

The Baby Bullet services only stop about 5 times on the whole route, so there's much more full speed running. It's more like double that on a limited stop service. In the Journey mode, the services it gives you alternate between Bullet and limited.

375 is the 17:19 out of San Jose, 376 is the 17:37 out of SF.

Haven't run either of those yet, but did run the 370 17:15 out of SF and had the highball the whole way to SJ. This was on Xbox fwiw.

Gonna give 376 a try tonight.

Edit: according to the official CalTrain timetable, 376 should arrive at Milbrae at 17:55, and 274 at 18:00.

Quick update. Ran the first leg of 376 from SF to Millbrae. Timetable mode, summer clear weather, playing on Xbox 1 X. Experience was generally the same as OP. If you want more detail:
Left SF about 45 seconds late around 17:39 and passed an inbound gallery (presumably 263) approaching the 2nd dwarf signal (both were flashing yellow but then it was all green the rest of the way).

There was quite a lot of traffic inbound to SF, though. Saw NB trains stopped at 3(!) different signals before getting to Bayshore station, where i passed 274 around 17:47 (it was waiting at a red signal). Passed one more NB train before arriving at Millbrae at 17:56. I definitely wasn't pushing it and could shave off at least 2 minutes without speeding. Instructions were to wait until 18:02.30, so i left it there and went up to the bridge to watch for a bit. It asked me to abandon at around 18:00 and i did. 376 departed at around 18:02.45. 274 arrived at 18:06 and departed within the minute. FWIW the next SB train after that arrived around 18:21, and another at 18:32 (278 & 380?). Also a SB passed through at speed at 18:42 (presuming 282).

So what's going on? Seems like there's some issues with the timetable and/or dispatcher (why the backup approaching SF?), but it's not totally broken as i saw plenty of moving traffic both directions (more north than south) while watching at Millbrae. Still watching at 18:45 but gonna end it soon so i can actually drive something lol.

Kinda like that there's so much traffic though tbh! Also, the MP36 is really fun to drive.

    Edits: added details and speculation.
