IronBladder Pop-up messages in scenarios can have HTML which can include images. See http://trainsimlive.blogspot.com/2015/02/ts2015-scenario-scripting-in-lua-part-3.html. You can then take a screenshot of a TS with a pop-up message showing your drawing. I believe this loophole represents your path to victory - I'm pretty sure custom scenarios (not routes) have to be OK since pretty much everyone uses them to put the stock they want in the place they want.

Doc, thanks for the suggestion. If I get time I'll try and have a go at this, but I suspect DTG will still disallow it as it's not official DTG content. Plus there lots of other reasons why the probably wouldn't pick it as a winner. It's going to look a strange splash screen to any user who doesn't know what's going on. But who knows, maybe they'll be tickled by the humour and give it a run.

Yes it is, so the screenshot would be impossible in real life, but TS2020 doesn't do gauge checking, so you can run standard gauge on narrow gauge and vice versa. It makes for quite a weird operating experience! Why not give it a try?

I wasn't seriously suggesting it as a good use of your time :). The most it'd achieve would be forcing them to find a better excuse.

Thanks for the good wishes. I hope you all had some fun. I promise to be back with something bizarre for the next freestyle theme!
I'm British and live in the UK and this weeks' winning route was in the UK, so I'm not sure things are as US dominated as you say. But let's pile in with German, French, South African and rest of world screenshots and see what can be achieved.

Yes I have noticed that a ton of American stuff is featured. Personally I like U.S. stuff but it is a shame that so much of it is getting featured. I don't love the German stuff but I really like the screenshot that I entered for the new competition this week.

I personally want to try and get one of the Japanese Routes as a winner in the screenshot contests, but have had no success so far. (And cant really enter any this week as we have no JR Freight content)

Ah come on, it's not that bad. Remember my winning screenshot from the final competition of 2019? That was a British route with a British steam locomotive (Jubilee).

There was also another recent British winner, in the week where we had rain, it shows an EMU approaching a station with rain.

Personally I quite like some of the foreign (non-UK) screen shot winners. I only play British routes, so those loading screens sometimes show me things that I wouldn't otherwise see. And many times the quality is very good.

Also as others have said, IronBladder's screenshot was good, I like it and it's even a British route.

Congrats on winning, although i think the track is too narrow for the train.

But that's the wonder of TS you can run anything on anything. Freestyle full strength!
