Great shots and frame frames!! Makes me reminise and remember the good and bad times of winter in the early 80's. Standing on Victoria while the blizzarding winds and snow howl through. Huddling under the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway Map (where is that Dovetail????) with a Mars bar and Travellers Rest Tea to keep warm..... And then of course there's the bad times!! Pic of said tiled map at Victoria
There is one of those tiled maps in the recently refurbished Wetherspoons North Western Hotel on Lime St Station.
You need to a attach a usb keyboard to disable some of the various hud elements. Pressing F1 for instance clears the screen completely, useful for taking pictures.
Few more photos now that I have gotten rid of the on screen stuff without having to crop! Had a play with the Class 40 photo in photomatix, I like the effect it produced.
That would make a nice Christmas card, for anyone who likes trains that is. And from rain and snow to a bit of sunshine...
Wow, some real nice screenshots in this thread! I’m a rail-fan, but I’m also a shutterbug and have been taking plenty of TSW 2020 screenshots on my PS4... now I just have to figure out how to get them in this thread.
I have the PS4 messenger app on my tablet. I made a throwaway chat group and save photos into it. Then I go into that chat and save the images and upload them here.
Thanks a lot for the info on how to upload the screenshots- will try and check this out later today! Really like seeing your pics too... I’ve only spent time so far with the Caltrain route and Oakville, and have some nice pics to share from both of those. I actually use the Oakville ‘Hamilton Explorer’ scenario as a sort of proving ground/dynamic train layout. My single saved game slot is only for this scenario, and I periodically come back to it to try new things out (new to me anyway)- like a 4 loco MU consist, or a DPU config which I’m working on now. Anyway, thanks again for stepping up to the plate and helping me out on uploading pics.
Stockton Rails another method can be found in a post of mine from sometime back. Click below. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ps4-screenshots.11854/#post-95303
...here’s a sample of some of the pics I’ve taken in TSW 2020 for the PS4 over the last few weeks. Thanks again to the folks that helped me figure out how to post these.
Nice first posts Stockton Rails Now if you (and septafan) added a USB keyboard (wired or wireless) a press of F1 would remove all the onscreen clutter and leave it nice and clear - see my pictures above. Useful for lots of other functions too.
...belated thanks for the info on how to remove the overlays from my pics. I actually already had a small Sony bluetooth keyboard put away for my PS4... not sure this one will work, will look into it later today.
Well... I haven’t actually tried my Sony BT mini-keyboard yet with TSW 2020 on my PS4, but it looks like it won’t work since it doesn’t have phys function keys on it (and likely can’t emulate them). I have since read about a foldable BT mini-keyboard made by Jelly Comb that will work with the PS4- and has phys function keys... will probably go that route once I do a bit more research on it.
No it probably won't work well. I think they are intended more for typing text in chat windows. Just looked at that and it's quite interesting and not too expensive. It doesn't have to be BT though a normal wireless one should be ok and probably cheaper still.
Yeah- that small Sony keyboard (really for the Sony Tablet S) was purchased just for that- speedy text entry, plus I wanted a very small keyboard to leave next to the PS4. And I’ll probably be picking up that folding keyboard... reviews for it look good so far, still need to look into it more before I pick it ip.
