Hi all, I'm not sure if this has been discussed...I've found a lot of posts about the ECML but can't find this particular one so bear with me. I have tried TS-2020 on XBox One but it doesn't have the East Coast Main Line on or the Azuma 800/801 series which is the train and route I'd like to drive. I can see videos on YouTube of parts of the route using that train but wondered how I can access this train on this route? Would it need to be on an older version of TS and would it need to be on a PC? Thanks in advance if anyone reads this.
That would be Train Sim World rather than Train Simulator which is PC only. The ECML South route on Train Sim 2020 does have a basic 801 prototype included https://store.steampowered.com/app/...ast_Main_Line_LondonPeterborough_Route_AddOn/
Thats great Ruscoe, thank you. Is that PC only, the link you sent me there? Would I need to purchase the PC version of the game and the add on to play that? Many thanks
Yes, it's PC only. You're purchasing a different game, however. TSW is on console and PC, while TS is only on PC. The game that ARuscoe linked is TS. Hope this helped.
As railfan says above, they're two different games, made by the same company and called almost the same thing. Not confusing in the slightest
Incidentally, does anyone know if this version linked here provides a tutorial on driving the train or is it just expected that you know what you're doing and just jump in and go?
It's not hard because it's not a complete simulation w and s for the reverser (key isn't simulated), a makes it go faster, d makes it stop Single power and brake lever Q cancels all alarms The manual doesnt' even list the unit's existence LOL
