TransPennine Express (TPE)[1] is a British train operating company owned by FirstGroup that operates the TransPennine Express franchise. It runs regional and intercity rail services between the major cities of Northern England and Scotland.

    TransPennine Express

Class 802 on test alongside a Class 185 at Hull

The franchise operates all its services to and through Manchester covering three main routes. The service provides rail links for major towns and cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Sheffield, Hull, Leeds, York, Scarborough, Middlesbrough and Newcastle. TPE also run trains 24 hours a day, including through New Year's Eve night. Trains run between York, Leeds and Manchester Airport at least every three hours every night of the week.

    Depots
Siemens maintains the Class 185 and 350 fleets at Ardwick depot in Manchester with a smaller facility in York. Scottish stabling points for both stock include Corkerhill C.S.M.D. (Glasgow) and Craigentinny T.&R.S.M.D. (Edinburgh). Hitachi will maintain the AT300 fleet at Doncaster Carr and Craigentinny.[27] The new EMUs and loco-hauled sets will be maintained by Alstom, on behalf of TransPennine Express, at Longsight (Manchester), Edge Hill (Liverpool) and Polmadie (Glasgow).[21]

TransPennine Express have depots for its train crews at Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Airport (conductors), York, Newcastle, Scarborough, Hull, Cleethorpes, Sheffield, Preston, Liverpool and Glasgow Central.
I would like to see transpennine express in the game because I love the trains and here are some images

All routes: North and South TransPennine & TransPennine North West

    100px-Nova_1_in_London_Kings_Cross_20.02.19.jpg Class 802/2 BMU
    TransPennine North and north west

North TransPennine goes from Manchester airport to Redcar central or to Newcastle
Liverpool Lime Street to Edinburgh Waverley via Newcastle
    Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough
    Manchester Piccadilly to
    Hull
    Manchester Piccadilly to Huddersfield
    Huddersfield to Leeds

    South TransPennine goes from
    Manchester Airport to Cleethorpes

    North west TransPennine goes from
Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central or Edinburgh Waverley via Preston

I would like to see North west TransPennine from Leeds to Edinburgh with the class 185,350,397 and 802s
I would love to see the replies they would be very appreciated

amazing idea, my hometown Sheffield is part of TransPennine, so i'd really love to drive one of those trains down the countryside of Britain, and what i'd also love to see is a GWR Sleeper Train route that runs alongside the TransPennine trains. and the best feature about my suggestion, you can actually ride the Sleeper Train and sleep in it's cabins, you can also buy keycards for the rooms at like some sort of kiosk where the train stops at. so i'd call this an 'extension' to the current GWR themed map.

Their new "Nova" fleets look smart - https://www.tpexpress.co.uk/travelling-with-us/the-nova-fleets

The Nova 3 is a five-coach train with a driving trailer hauled by a Class 68, Nova 2 is the Class 397 and Nova 1 is the 802. The 185s look decent in the TPE livery too. I could live without the 350 though - not a fan of the door-through trains because of the limited view.

    Nova 1 - [IMG]

    Nova 2 - [IMG]

    Nova 3 - [IMG]

I wonder which route they'd actually make if they were to produce this. The 802 has more carry-over potential than the 397, with GWR and Hull Trains both using them so a section of the Liverpool / Manchester - Newcastle route would be a possibility. Would be nice to have an express service and a stopper, like we do with GWE.

That would be great! Whilst I thought adding the 57 and GWR Night Riviera would be good for shunting and an alternative drive. I never considered the passenger aspect that could be experienced with TSW.
The GWE could do with a couple of extensions to make this really spectacular.

Is the current ntp line part of this service? If so the time to make it could be shortened by using the lines current track setup maybe.

the route is around 30 miles so it would be the perfect length for a route as most are around this sort of distance. for freight trains the class 66 in gbrf livery which wouldn't be too hard to do as we already have the class 66 all that is needed is another livery on it. what would the depot on this route be?

the ntp ends at manchester victoria where this route would start but if dtg were going to include newton heath as a depot they could possibly use the current track setup on miles platting bank but just not having miles platting station in as it is no longer there

Since there will be a Scottish route coming to TSW the northwest/Scotland route Manchester to Edinburgh
As I said before it would consist of
    The class 185 desiro dmu
The main attraction the class 802 bmu
I have selected these two trains out of the 4 that run on this route
The 185 because it runs on every tpe route I believe and will be the first desiro in TSW at time of writing
And the class 802 since the AT300 family is on most high speed main lines
The 802 would allow it's almost Identical
Cousin the class 800 bmu (LNER, GWR), 801 emu (LNER) other 802s with GWR and hull trains
The upcoming 803 emu for east coast trains
805 and 807 for avanti west coast
    And 810 EMR
    Which go along mutiple routes
Which are not in game such as the ECML WCML And MML

The class 350 could also be on this route
As a separate add on they were sent to west midlands last year I believe
But this isn't a must but would open up a lot of options to male the almost Identical
450 444 SWR and other 350s on the WCML

Since the CCL has had good reports
DTG may make a new Scottish route
Which I think should include TPE

Excellent idea and what can be done to introduce this operator is very simple give Northern transpennine a DLC with Modern Locomotives like the class 802 185. That Pack is called Northern transpennine Manchester Victoria to Leeds City modern pack. That's giving NTP a GWML Diesel Legends treatment.

Around ten times the length of the latest route to come out (an estimation, based on it being vague as to what route you are suggesting) so too long for TSW in any case. If you are suggesting a route, shouldn’t you be telling us that information anyway? You’ll need to pick a section of the route that you know well to make a suggestion or just leave it that you want to see TPE and the trains you’ve listed in the game and leave the route suggestion to those that know the route(s).

Firstly, the route is far too long.
Secondly, what part are you even suggesting, I feel like I just went into the TPE Wikipedia page.
Finally, what's the poll all about?

Considering the fact the entire post is just debriefing the TOC without much detail about the suggested route itself it's very easy to miss.

I didn't realise route was so long as to why I asked for the mileage

There are a number of ways of measuring how far apart places are, so rather than trying to give "whole regions", pick a starting station and then find somewhere within 50 miles of there that would make an interesting route to drive, preferably with a few adjoining tracks, maybe some freight etc

You mean the Hope Valley Line and the more realistic option is simple give the Huddersfield standedge tunnel line NTP a modern-day schedule pretty much copying diesel legends of the Great Western main line

Your 2 poll options are the same...
    _ I would want this.
    _ I would want this.

    This is not a poll.
    A poll needs atleast two"different"choices.

It isn't the simple option because there would likely be a backlash.
After all, the route is set in the BR era and the modern locos wouldn't fit at all.
They'd be much better off making a new line rather than cutting corners, which you are suggesting, which would be, frankly, pathetic.

No, I don't... If you read the post again I clearly state that they would be better off making a new route rather than cutting corners.

The signalling has changed for a start and there is now AWS (and I presume TPWS) on the route, whereas the BR version set in 1983 didn't have AWS equipment. I would say it would be a worse compromise than the GWML Western "legends" pack.
