Long story short. The action will take place inside the cabin of a square looking DMU which run on diesel. It's a bit more nosy than the 166 but the best thing about is that it can run with the configuration of a single unit!! It has massive air cushions on each side and it's know for having lots of windows open in the passenger compartment. Photo courtesy, Charles Moorhen Single-car Class 153 153370 Super Sprinter DEMU, based on a Leyland bus chassis, in GWR green livery. *********************************************************** The sprinter Class 153 diesel multiple units were built by Leyland Bus between 1987 and 1988 as two-coach units before being converted to single-car units in 1991/92 by Hunslet-Barclay. Class 153370 was allocated to Exeter St. Davids. Class 153370 unit coach numbers as follows: 57370. A 'grab-shot' that very nearly didn't happen as I was totally unaware this diesel multiple unit (strange name for a single-car train) was approaching! ******************************************************************
I don't think your link to the GWR green unit is correct Gabe_1.0, it's a image of class 220 that it takes me to. Here's a 153 in GWR livery And here's a much more colourful one.
I'd always be happy to see these, the 155's too if I'm being honest. Anything Leyland Bus did would make me happy as Dad worked for them and it's the reason I got dragged up to West Cumbria as a teenager!
Or how about the hybrid unit 153399 It consists of a single class 150 unit coupled to a class 153, so has 3 cabs!
Everyone's begging for sprinters but so far no luck but hopefully they will add them in the next route.
